In Palworld, there are many things you must do to keep your pals happy. However, on rare occasions, you might need some quick materials immediately in your inventory. In this scenario, the game also offers an option to butcher your pals. I wouldn’t say I like this option much, but since it is an option in the game, let’s see how to butcher a pal in Palworld.
Butchering a Pal in Palworld
You can butcher a pal in Palworld using a Meat Cleaver. However, first, you need to craft a Meat Cleaver. You can unlock the Meat Cleaver once you reach level 12. Once you unlock the Meat Cleaver, you will need 5x Ingot, 20x Wood, and 5x Stone to craft it from the Workbench. Then below are the steps you need to follow.
- Go to Palbox, select the pal you want to butcher in Palworld, and assign it to your party.
- Go to the menu, select Meat Cleaver from the inventory, and assign it to one of the weapon slots.
- Select the relevant pal sphere and take the pal outside.
- Click and hold the ‘4’ button on the PC or Click the right thumb stick up to bring out the command menu.
- Select the Butcher option, and you will eliminate the relevant pal and gather some materials from it.
I have butchered a pal only once in Palworld and selected a Lamball for this. I could gain some Lamb Meat and Wool from slaying it. However, I think these pals are more useful when alive than butchering them. For example, Lamballs are good gatherers and greatly help if you assign them in the base.
Did you know you can butcher also humans in this game? Surprisingly, I saw one player butcher the girl you met first in the game at the campfire. I think some players might prefer to use this option on humans rather than their pals beside them.
