Is there any way to capture a Shiny Pokemon in the Pokemon Sleep mobile game? Sleep is the counterpart to Pokemon Go, encouraging players to get a good quality sleep rather than going out and walking. You’re given a Snorlax to observe, who can attract other Pokemon you can obtain. Shiny Pokemon are alternate colorations of their default forms. For example, a normal Espeon is purple, while a Shiny Espeon is lime-green. Shiny Pokemon are rarer to find and take a lot of patience to encounter. Pokemon Sleep does have Shiny Pokemon spawns for you to capture.
How To Obtain Pokemon in Pokemon Sleep
In Pokemon Sleep, you’re on an island with your Snorlax. Pokemon will naturally hang around Snorlax, and you can register them to your Sleep Style Dex. If you feed Snorlax berries or other meals consistently throughout the day, Snorlax will draw unique Pokemon. What kind of Pokemon spawn depends on the food you feed Snorlax.
You can befriend wild Pokemon by raising their Friendship Points. You increase your Friendship Points with a Pokemon by feeding it cookies. Once you’ve become friends with a Pokemon, they become your Helper Pokemon with their own stats that you raise by bonding with them. Helper Pokemon can be sent out to collect berries and other items.
You increase your Helper Pokemon’s Level by feeding them Dream Shards you earn for completing Sleep Style Dex Goals. Helper Pokemon can even evolve if you reach a specific level and give them Candy.
How To Find Shinies in Pokemon Sleep?
The percentage of a Shiny Pokemon spawning is lower than a normal Pokemon. In Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, the spawn rate for a Shiny is 1/4096. That means the odds of encountering a Shiny in the wild is one out of over 4,000 encounters.
Shiny spawn rates in Pokemon Sleep aren’t as severe, but prepare to spend hours grinding. The estimated odds of a Shiny spawning in Pokemon Sleep is one in 450, which is close to the Shiny odds of Pokemon Go.
The main gameplay function for Pokemon Sleep centers around you sleeping. The game measures how much sleep you gain in the day, and the more rest you get, the better you do in-game. You will receive rewards, and Snorlax will draw in more Pokemon. To lure out the Shiny Pokemon, you must have a good night’s sleep every day, if possible.
The amount of Pokemon in Sleep is limited and mostly only features the classic 151 from Red and Blue, with some exceptions like Lucario and Eevee evolutions.
