If you know your pocket monsters, then you know just how tricky Ditto is. This funny little blob enjoys twisting itself up until it resembles another Pokemon. So, the only way to learn how to catch Ditto in Pokemon Go is to discover all of its favorite disguises to use. Unfortunately, this changes often. That’s why if you want to add Ditto to your Pokedex, you’ll need to stay up to date on who it likes to change into.

For Trainers eager to discover where to catch Ditto in Pokemon Go, just know you’ll have to keep your eyes peeled for some other beloved pocket monsters in the wild. Ditto can be lurking around any corner, just waiting to jump out in surprise. Stock up on those Poke Balls because you’re going to need them. How To Get Ditto

It’s not simple to catch Ditto because it doesn’t have a big spawn rate in Pokemon Go. If you want to catch one, your best bet is to visit areas where the Pokemon in the table above frequently spawn. Use your Lure Modules and Incense, and try to search for one when the weather is cloudy. Ditto is more likely to appear in this type of weather.

It comes down to sheer luck. You’ll never know when one of the above Pokemon will transform into Ditto until after you catch it. Just know that if you encounter a shiny variant, it will never be the trickster blob.
