In Final Fantasy 16, you play as Clive Rosfield, the firstborn son of the archduke of Rosaria. With the franchise leaning more towards classic RPG, you will certainly want to change the appearance and get different outfits in Final Fantasy 16. We have seen some magnificent outfits and character looks in the past installments. Nevertheless, with other games offering the freedom to personalize characters, does Final Fantasy 16 allow players to add their own touch to Clive’s wardrobe in this enchanting high-fantasy adventure?

When you start the Final Fantasy 16 campaign, Clive is a younger fighter with a preset look. As you progress through the campaign, you will follow Clive in different stages of his life, and Clive’s appearance will automatically change from a boyish look to a full-grown warrior and the second Dominant of Fire. Unfortunately, if you think of changing Clive’s appearance to your liking is not available in Final Fantasy 16.

Unfortunately, in Final Fantasy 16, players cannot change Clive’s outfit manually. The game does not provide a dedicated feature or menu for altering Clive’s appearance or selecting different costumes.

Clive will undergo automatic outfit changes throughout the game at specific points in the story. These changes reflect different stages of his life and character development. The shifts in Clive’s outfit are tied to the narrative, adding visual variety to his journey.

There is a way to elicit a change in Clive Rosfield’s appearance, changing weapons. Although not exactly an outfit, his appearance reflects the new weapon choice. As you scroll through Gear & Eikons menu, you will change weapons. This provides a noticeable alteration to his overall appearance, such as a different sword on his back.

On the other hand, while changing Clive’s outfit directly is not possible, players have the ability to modify and upgrade Clive’s armor, gear, and accessories. This can be done through the Gear & Eikons menu, accessible via the pause menu. However, it’s important to note that these changes primarily affect combat stats. They do not have a visual impact on Clive’s appearance.

The lack of appearance and outfit change options in Final Fantasy 16 may disappoint those seeking broader visual choices. Nevertheless, Final Fantasy 16 presents Clive’s outfit changes as an integral part of his character growth and the immersive storytelling experience.

Final Fantasy 16 is available on PS5.
