Ever been caught in a dilemma, wondering if your choices in a game will lead to regret or reward? In the sprawling universe of Cyberpunk 2077, every decision can have far-reaching consequences, especially with the new Phantom Liberty DLC. As players dive deeper into Night City’s underbelly, they encounter intricate side quests that test their moral compass. One such mission is โ€˜Balls to the Wall,โ€™ where the fate of two recruits hangs in the balance.

After completing โ€˜Spider and the Fly,โ€™ head to Pacifica in Dogtown. The mission marker will lead you to the BARGHEST camp. As you enter, Paco Torres and Babs Okoye await on the left. Engage in a conversation, and they’ll introduce you to a drug called Deep Dive. To progress, you’ll need to take it.

Upon consuming Deep Dive, you’ll relive Paco’s BARGHEST initiation, but through the eyes of the group’s leader, Kurt Hansen. Initially, converse with Yuri, Hansen’s second-in-command. Then, descend to the recruit area and engage in a fistfight with Paco.

The next segment is action-packed. As Hansen, you’ll combat scavengers in a thrilling car chase, with Paco as your driver. Once you reach a bridge, the battle intensifies on foot. Hansen is equipped with a powerful gun and a sharp knife. While he’s resilient, remember he’s not invincible.

Back in the present, Paco reveals his blunder: he stole generators from Hansen. Now, both he and Babs are in grave danger. This leads to the mission’s pivotal decision: frame Yuri, flee, or call in favors.

Navigating the intricate pathways in Cyberpunk 2077’s Phantom Liberty DLC presents players with a myriad of choices, each leading to distinct rewards and consequences. Here’s a detailed breakdown of the rewards associated with each decision:

1. Frame Yuri

This choice is covered with danger. After agreeing, a rendezvous with Paco and Babs goes wrong, leading to a confrontation with Yuri. Winning grants you two rare firearms but at a tragic cost for Paco. If you manage to overpower him, your spoils of victory include:

  • M-10AF Lexington: A compact pistol known for its rapid-fire capability and accuracy. Ideal for close-quarter combat.
  • M-76 Omaha: A submachine gun boasting a high rate of fire and substantial magazine capacity. Perfect for taking on multiple adversaries.

2. Run for the Hills

Prioritizing Paco’s safety by choosing to flee offers a more hopeful outcome. Your immediate task is to discreetly transport Paco in a car trunk, ensuring his safe passage to the Grand Imperial Mall, just beyond Dogtown’s frightening gates. After a brief passage of time (two in-game days), Paco reaches out for a reunion at the renowned Afterlife club. Here, you’ll find him transformed into a scavenger. While this isn’t the most glamorous of fates, it’s a significant improvement over the alternative. Your diligence is rewarded with:

  • 8,000 Eddies: A substantial sum that can be invested in upgrades, gear, or other in-game pursuits.
  • Carmen Power Assault Rifle: A high-caliber weapon known for its precision and damage output, making it a valuable addition to any arsenal.

3. Call in Some Favors

If you’ve made good relationships in the main game, you can ask for help from River, Panam, or Rogue. Each ally offers a unique solution, but all lead to gratitude from Paco and valuable rewards :

  • Rogue: The seasoned fixer leverages her vast network to secure replacement generators for Paco. She’ll provide coordinates to a discreet location where the generators await collection.
  • Panam: The nomad, with her Aldecados kin, creates a thorough plan to smuggle both Paco and Babs out of Night City’s clutches, ensuring their safety from any retribution.
  • River: The former NCPD detective taps into his old contacts, arranging a drop-off of replacement generators in a location accessible to Paco and Babs.

No matter which ally you turn to, Paco’s gratitude is evident. He sends a heartfelt text, capturing a moment with the newly acquired generators. As a token of appreciation, visiting the BARGHEST camp gives:

  • Carmen Power Assault Rifle: A top-tier firearm celebrated for its pinpoint accuracy and devastating firepower, a must-have for any combat situation (the same weapon as mentioned earlier).
  • Solo Skill Shard: A valuable shard that, when integrated, bestows 400 XP on your Solo skill, enhancing your combat prowess.

For optimal rewards and a more favorable outcome, it’s best to either help Paco escape or call in favors. The latter is especially appealing, ensuring Paco’s safety and granting you valuable rewards. Conversely, framing Yuri, while intriguing, has the grimmest consequences.
