As you travel through north Aeternum, more specifically in Great Cleave, you will eventually come across an NPC named Yonas Alazar. He is a Soulwarden who will give you several different objectives, with one of them being one titled Beyond the Gates. This quest requires you to fight a Corrupted Leviathan as well as do a few other things. Considering that, we thought it would be easier for you to just read through how to complete the quest the easiest way.
Beyond The Gates – New World Walkthrough
Since you’ll want to speak with Yonas Alazar first, head over to these coordinates: X: 10,047 and Y: 7,482. These are the quest objectives for Beyond the Gates once you have it in your journal:
- Defeat Corrupted Leviathan Test.
- Leave the plane of corruption.
- Fix the Corrupted Shrine.
- Use the Corrupted Shrine.
- Meet with Yonas and the Soulwardens.
The Corrupted Leviathan can be pretty tough to defeat if you don’t know what you’re doing. Fortunately, it’s a pretty straight forward process that you just need to complete over and over again until it’s down.
How To Defeat Corrupted Leviathan
The following are all of the Corrupted Leviathan’s stats:
- Level: 50
- Damage: 8,719
- Categories: Corrupted
- Armor:
- 1,289 Armor Rating – Physical
- 1,289 Armor Rating – Elemental
- 35% Damage Mitigation – Physical
- 35% Damage Mitigation – Elemental
When you are up against the Corrupted Leviathan, you will see a blue, chain-like object on a pedestal in front of the monster. When you walk up to is, press E on your keyboard to charge the ancient altar. This will cause a chain to pull the Corrupted Leviathan’s tentacle down and lock it in place for you to attack.
Once pulled down, you’ll want to aim specifically for the three eyeballs that are covering the tip, center, and bottom of the tentacle. You’ll want to continue doing this until you’ve successfully defeated it.
Beyond The Gates Rewards
Once you’ve rotated the stones in front of the Corrupted Shrine, the quest will end and you will be able to teleport and return to Yonas Alazar. You’ll also receive the following rewards:
- 5,750 XP
- 80,00 Coin
- 10 Azoth
- Servant of the Secret Fire
- Unlock Mapping The Edge of Despair quest
- Unlock To Stand Against The Dark Quest
