If you played Warzone 1, then you’re probably familiar with Dam in Verdansk, which is now back in MW3. It was a northern part of the map, where you’d find a dam that holds the water for the city’s consumption. Now, in the Modern Warfare 3 campaign, Makarov is about to sabotage this area so that people would just die if Ghost and Soap don’t get to stop his forces. The Gora Dam mission in MW3 – Modern Warfare 3 is one of the open combat operations in the campaign. And here are all of the weapon and objective locations on the Gora Dam map.
Objectives of The Gora Dam Mission
- Defuse four bombs.
- Escape the area with Soap and Nikolai.
In this mission, there are a total of four bomb sites that you need to defuse by pressing the interaction button near them. This is the same as hacking systems and turrets in the game while finding them might be a little tricky. First, go right toward the location in the image above. Here, you’ll find the bombs in a truck.
Next, you need to continue your way down below until you reach the location marked in the image above. Here, you’ll find the second bomb waiting to be defused. There’s also a tower beside this area, where you can find an MCPR Sniper Rifle on top so that you can kill many of the enemy targets without them having a chance to counter-strike.
After you defuse the second bomb in the Gora Dam MW3 mission, you’ll find the third bomb on the bridge to your right. Here, if you follow the wires on the ground, you’ll see that the bombs are under the water. The image above has the mark on where this bomb is located.
And for the last bomb, just pass the bridge and then take a left. Follow the path, and you’ll reach the bomb on its end. In case you had any trouble finding the last bomb in the Gora Dam MW3 mission, look for the #4 bomb in the image above. After that, Nikolai will just mark an extraction for you to finish the mission.
Gora Dam Weapon Locations Guide
The Gora Dam mission in MW3 is a short one, just like many other open combat operations in this game. You play as Ghost and start off at the top of the dam in the Verdansk map in MW3 with your chosen weapons. However, there are lots of other guns on this map that you can grab and use. The map below shows all the weapon locations in the Gora Dam Modern Warfare 3 mission.
There are a total of 15 weapons on this map, which you can also use in other open combat missions after you find them. These are marked as orange boxes on the map once you get near them, so it’s easy to discover once you reach the locations marked in the image above.
