How To Start Happy Birthday Quest
The Happy Birthday quest is one of the most straightforward Fontaine quests in Genshin Impact. But despite this, starting it is quite complicated. The NPC you need will not give you the quest until you meet certain conditions, namely complete several rather long quests, including story ones:
- In the Wake of Narcissus
- Through the Looking Glass
- Pursuit
After completing the Pursuit quest, you must fast-travel to the Teleport Waypoint in the Court of Fontaine region. There, you will find Earnshaw near Waypoint. If he is not standing on the road, you must wait two days to activate the quest. Then, talk to him to start the Happy Birthday quest in Genshin Impact.
Happy Birthday Walkthrough
From Earnshaw, you learn that a Hilichurl has abducted Lanoire. So, your task in the Happy Birthday quest will be to find a girl. Fortunately, the game won’t make you search for long and will simply place a marker on the map where you need to go.
Once you reach the marked location, you will find Lanoire and Caterpillar talking. They will also be happy to see you. However, further conversation will not be fun since Caterpillar is about to leave Lanoire. When he thanks the girl for everything, Earnshaw will appear and thank you for your help in the search. At the same time, the caterpillar will disappear.
The Happy Birthday quest completes the story of this unusual Hilichurl and Lanoire. And although you had to put in a lot of effort to fulfill the required conditions, you will not receive any items as a reward. Instead, players will unlock The Story is Over, But… achievement.
