Cyberpunk 2077 is a game that’ll hit you in the feels many times. While some might think this only happens in the main story, there are plenty of side jobs that’ll let you explore the dark and horrible side of Night City. One of the quests you’ll get after starting Act 2 in Cyberpunk 2077 is the ‘Happy Together’ mission. This side job will see you trying to comfort a neighbor after he experiences a sad situation. If you want the best outcome for this quest, follow the steps in this guide.
Cyberpunk 2077: Happy Together Quest Guide
Missing this quest is almost impossible. To start the Happy Together mission in Cyberpunk 2077, you must head down the stairs after starting Act 2 and talking to your virtual roommate for the first time. You’ll find two cops knocking on a door. If you wait for a bit after they give up, you’ll have the option of talking to them. After talking to them, they’ll tell you about their friend and co-worker, Barry, who lives in the apartment. You can get involved or ignore it, so to do the quest, you must choose to help. Here are the exact steps you must follow to complete it:

Does Cyberpunk 2077 Have New Game Plus? Answered
- Knock on the door for the first time. No one will answer. Come back later.
- After a few hours or days have passed, go back to the apartment and knock again. Barry will answer.
- Talk your way into letting him enter the apartment. To get inside, tell him, “Your friends asked me to drop by.”
- Once inside, sit in front of him to start the conversation.
- Choose the following dialogue options:
- “I lost someone, too.”
- “NCPD hasn’t improved, has it?”
- “What about your friends on the force?”
- “How’d Andrew die?” (This is the most important choice if you want a positive outcome).
- “So Andrew was like a grandpa to you?”
- “People die. You move on.”
- Complete the optional objective before talking to the cops. If you talk to the cops after exiting the apartment and before doing the optional objective, you’ll get a bad outcome.
- Head to the Columbarium in Westbrook.
- Find Andrew’s niche and choose “Shit, Barry needs help.” You can also talk to Johnny while at it; it’s not required for a good outcome.
- Return to the cops and choose: “I visited Andrew’s grave.”
- If you follow the above steps, Barry will open the door and be saved. Otherwise, Barry will die, which is a bad outcome.

While small, this quest has some gutwrenching moments that show how hard life is in Night City; still, we recommend everyone to finish the Happy Together mission in Cyberpunk 2077 to see how well-built the world of this game is. Also, it is nice to have a quest without combat and let you try some unique dialogue options depending on your skills.
