If your idea of a good rainy-day treat is a zombie-obliterating crowbar, you’re not alone. Jo had the same thought. Dead Island 2 keeps many of its best weapons hidden away in locked boxes, and Jo’s Rainy Day Stash is a great example. Though you don’t need the stash to beat the game, you’ll want it for beating zombies to an undead pulp. Grab your sunscreen and sandals, because we’re going to Venice Beach. At least Jo’s crowbar will help you work on your Gordon Freeman impression. Here’s how to complete Jo’s Rainy Day Stash in Dead Island 2.
Dead Island 2 Jo’s Rainy Day Stash Guide
(Updated on April 25th, 2024 – updated images and streamlined quest steps)
While you’re working on completing all the achievements, you’ll eventually stumble across Jo’s Rentals on Venice Beach. The items inside will kick off a brief but rewarding scavenger hunt. To collect Jo’s prized possessions, you’ll need to find three of Jo’s items in addition to the stash. Thankfully, they’re all nearby. You won’t have to wander through many zombie-infested neighborhoods to get the goodies. Here’s what you need to do:
- Go to Jo’s Rentals on Venice Beach (location 1, pictured above)
- Collect the journal near the counter to start the quest
- Collect Jo’s Staff Room Key from the nearby table
- Go to Surfing and Skate Rentals (location 2, pictured above)
- Collect the Journal of Jo’s Beloved Baby inside
- Go to the open area near the giant Body Builders sign and defeat Jo’s Shambling Body
- Take Jo’s Final Farewell from his corpse
- Go to Marla’s Tapas and Tacos
- Use the Star Haul truck to climb onto the roof
- Open the stash on the roof and claim your reward
Quest Rewards
As a reward for completing Jo’s Rainy Day Stash in Dead Island 2, you’ll get 2,000 EXP, the Primed Crowbar, and an Electric Bomb Curveball. The Primed weapon perk enhances the recharge rate of your active Curveball after you kill a zombie. That makes it an excellent choice for building battle momentum and snowballing through hordes of the undead. With some experience and a couple of new weapons, you should be all set to take on everything LA has to throw at you. The City of Angels just got a demon in it.
Dead Island 2 is available for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5,
