To access the Tier 2 missions of the Legion in Call of Duty: Warzone 2, you must complete the “Muddy Waters” DMZ quest’s three challenging objectives. This mission involves searching and retrieving three pieces of intel from separate locations across Ashika Island. Once you have collected the quest items, you must safely Exfile with them in your inventory to clear the Faction Mission. Extracting with intel piece one at a time is possible since escaping with all three is exceptionally risky. Dying to AI soldiers or enemy operators will cause you to restart the entire process; therefore, we suggest performing each objective individually.
Completing the Muddy Waters DMZ Faction Mission in Warzone 2
To complete the Muddy Waters DMZ Faction Mission in Warzone 2, you must find and extract three pieces of intel: the Shadow Company USB Stick, Ashika Island Intel, and Crown Intel. As noted above, these are all located in different spots on the island and can be Exfiled with individually or collectively.

Starting with extracting the Shadow Company USB Stick objective, head to the Ashika Island Beach Club, which can be found at the southernmost point of the map. The structure you are looking for is a round, observatory-like structure out in the water to the south. After arrival, dive beneath the water’s surface and search for a broken window. Use this opening to enter the submerged interior and loot the Tool Boxes inside to get the USB Stick.
The second objective for the “Muddy Waters” DMZ Faction Mission in Warzone 2 requires you to retrieve the Ashika Island Intel from the Underground Waterways. Enter through the western underpass entrance and head to the center of the tunnel ways; here, you will find the intel inside a compartment next to a submarine.
Finally, the third objective for this Legion Faction Mission is extracting the Crown Intel from the Ashika Power Plant. This building is a Stronghold you’ll find northwest of the Tsuki Castle. Needless to say, you’ll need a Stronghold Key to access its interior. Once inside, make your way to the control room on the upper level and collect the document behind the chamber’s control panel. After you’ve Exfiled with this intel and the previous two, “Muddy Waters” will be complete.
