“Nocturnal Predator” is a Favour side quest in God of War Ragnarok that involves players freeing the local fauna of The Crater from life essence-devouring Wisps. Completing this quest will reward players with valuable resources, including Hunter’s Brand for crafting the Hunter’s Armor Set and Gale Flame for upgrading the Draupnir Spear. To get started on the “Nocturnal Predator” Favour, players must first ensure that the time of day is night in the world of Ragnarok, during which the Wisps will spawn. Next, head to the eastern side of The Plains, where players will discover a Wisp feeding on a gazelle near the river.

After freeing the gazelle from the Wisp’s grasp during the “Nocturnal Predator” Favour in God of War Ragnarok, players must search the surrounding area for two more animals under attack by these primordial entities. Another gazelle and wildebeest can be found nearby, distinguishable by the bright purple glow caused by the Wisps feeding on their life essence.

How to Complete Sigrun’s Curse in God of War Ragnarok
Once players have freed the third animal from the Wisps’ grasp in “Nocturnal Predator” in God of War Ragnarok, they must head to the glowing Sigil at the center of the area to encounter a Flame Phantom. Unlike Phantoms, which Kratos might have faced before, this Boss has five bars of HP, indicating that players must search for and destroy five Runic Springs. Fortunately, fans will already know where the first three are since they are the same springs that the Wisps entered after Kratos rescued the wildlife.
The Flame Phantom possesses moves similar to any Phantom Boss in God of War Ragnarok, including ranged AoE attacks and far-reaching melee lunges and sweeps. The key to subduing this Boss is by attacking the central orb whenever it glows, enabling players to deal more damage and potentially stun the enemy. After filling the bar gauge, the Flame Phantom will temporarily flee, and fans must quickly find and demolish the Runic Springs before the creature returns. Once all five springs have been destroyed, Kratos will be able to perform his crushing finisher on the Phantom to kill it. This feat will conclude the “Nocturnal Predator” Favour in God of War Ragnarok and grant participants their rewards.
