Learn how to complete Photographing a Chuchu in Tears of the Kingdom to unlock new paraglider fabrics. In Tears of the Kingdom, you’ll find many eccentric vendors asking for your assistance. They just love to stay in their little huts while you run around fighting monsters and bringing the loot they ask for. But hey, at least there’s a reward at the quest’s end. The Dye Shop owner in Hateno follows this same pattern. He asks Link to bring him pictures of enemies or animals so he gets the inspiration for new paraglider fabrics. The first one? A cute Chuchu. In this guide, we’ll cover how to find and photograph this photo so you can bring it to Hateno’s Dye Shop Owner.
How to Start Photographing a Chuchu in Tears of the Kingdom
Head to Hateno Village’s Dye Shop to get this quest and expand your paraglider fabric repertoire. Speak to the owner and ask him to change the paraglider fabric to any you have available. You need to make this change to get the Photographing a Chuchu in Tears of the Kingdom quest.
If you own any amiibos, chances are you already have access to a bunch. However, if you don’t own any amiibos, don’t worry. The Dye Shop owner will gift you a Cece Paraglider Fabric inspired by Cece, the Hateno Clothing Boutique owner, and fashionista.
After you’ve switched fabrics for the first time, return to the shop and speak to the Dye Shop owner once again. He’ll now have a quest for you.
How to Complete Photographing a Chuchu in Tears of the Kingdom
To unlock the Chuchu paraglider fabric, bring the Dye Shop owner a photograph of a living Chuchu. If you’re the kind who keeps their compendium updated, you’ve likely already got a picture.
But if, like me, you’re making your way past the game and completely ignoring this feature, you’ll have to fetch one for this quest. And, though you’ve seen Chuchus a thousand times in the games, you probably can’t recall where they spawn.
Head to any area in Central Hyrule. Teleport to any Shrine or Skyview Tower you prefer. Then, keep running through the fields until Chuchu spawns. Whip out your camera and take a picture. You’ll notice a tiny red quest icon pops up when you do.
With this picture, head back to Hateno Village’s Dye Shop and speak to the owner to complete Photographing a Chuchu in Tears of the Kingdom. He’ll unlock the new fabric feature. As you probably guessed, you’ll unlock more glider fabrics when you bring him pictures of the ones he’s interested in. But don’t think he’ll hand them out for free — you’ll have to pay 20 rupees every time you want to switch glider fabrics.
Tears of the Kingdom is available on the Nintendo Switch.
