The Smoking Gun mission in DMZ is a Tier 2 Redacted faction objective. Here’s a guide on how to complete it in Warzone 2 DMZ.
What Are The Objectives of Smoking Gun DMZ Mission?
- Clear the Control Tower from all enemies.
- Clear the U.S. Embassy in Al-Mazrah City
- Clear the Al-Mazrah Post Office from hostiles.
Call of Duty: Warzone 2 DMZ mode missions are often about finding items or killing a particular target. However, the Smoking Gun DMZ mission is about killing all the AI enemies without the need for extraction! As you can see, the objectives, all you have to do is go to certain places and kill the bots. We will show you all the locations on the map here. However, you must know that all three areas need specific keys to enter.
The first location is the Control Tower at Al-Mazrah Airport (the image above). In order to get inside, you need the Control Tower’s key. This key is obtainable with HVT contracts and Strongholds. You can also find this key after killing and looting an enemy Commander (like the Chemist or the Scavenger). However, the location of the key is totally random, and there’s no 100% guide on finding it. Now after you get inside the Control Tower, just simply kill all the enemies, and the first objective of the Smoking Gun DMZ mission will be checked.

For the second objective, head to the U.S. Embassy at Al-Mazrah City. The image above shows the location, but you need a key to enter the building. Loot the Strongholds and make HVT contracts to achieve the key. Once you get inside, kill all the enemy personnel, and you’ll finish the second objective.
Now for the last objective of the Smoking Gun DMZ mission, you need to find the Al-Mazrah Post Office building. The area in the image above indicates the location, but again, you’ll need a key to get inside. After that, just enter and wipe out the enemy forces. Remember that this office has two buildings, and you have to kill the enemies in both areas to complete your mission.
Keep in mind that there are many level 3 enemy AIs in these buildings with full armor. Bring enough shields and firepower to overcome their defense. Completing this mission will reward you with 7.5K XP to progress through levels and Battle Pass, plus a key to the Sattiq Poppy Farmer House with valuable loot inside!
