Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty has been a rollercoaster of emotions, and the mission ‘Somewhat Damaged’ is no exception. If you’ve been following the trail of Solomon Reed and the mysterious Songbird, this mission is pivotal. In Cyberpunk 2077, choices matter. If you’ve sided with Solomon Reed during the ‘Firestarter’ mission, you’re now faced with the ‘Somewhat Damaged’ mission. This mission is not just about completing objectives; it’s about making choices that will determine the fate of So Mi, also known as Songbird. Here’s a comprehensive guide to help you How To Complete Somewhat Damaged in Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty.

After the chaos of the ‘Firestarter’ mission, V is now tasked with investigating the aftermath of Songbird’s destructive path through Pacifica. The mission is emotionally charged, with V having to make decisions that will impact not only Songbird’s fate but also their own.

Your first task is to investigate the wreckage left behind by Songbird. As you make your way through the debris, you’ll come across a massive hole in a wall, leading you to the burning remains of the MaxTac transport truck. While Songbird is nowhere to be found, clues of her presence linger. Your next objective is to follow the Blackwall traces, which will lead you closer to Songbird.

Following the traces, you’ll encounter a jammed door. If you’ve built up enough strength (20 Strength to be precise), you can force it open. If not, there’s an alternative route. Turn around and spot a grate on the ground. This grate leads to a waterlogged passage. Navigate through the waters, and you’ll eventually spot Johnny, who offers some insights into Songbird’s current state.

After your conversation with Johnny, you’ll need to take a leap of faith down a vast shaft. Don’t worry about the fall; the waters below will cushion your landing. Once you’ve emerged from the water, follow the corridor to your left, leading you to a hole in the wall. This hole is your entrance into the secretive Militech facility known as Cynosure.

This facility is no ordinary place. As Johnny describes, it’s the “Cyberspace equivalent of a nuke.” Here, you’ll need to connect to a terminal. However, Songbird, ever the hacker, takes control, forcing you to find an alternative way out. A door nearby requires a minimum of 3 Strength to open. Once through, you’ll need to take an elevator down to a restricted area. This descent is a moment of reflection, with Johnny questioning your motives.

As you dive deeper into Cynosure, Songbird’s influence becomes more apparent. She disrupts your connection with Johnny and Reed, leaving you isolated. Your next task is to navigate through the facility, avoiding a deadly robot while trying to locate the Alpha and Bravo Dataterminals. This section is a tense game of hide and seek, with the robot relentlessly hunting you down.

Somewhat Damaged Outcomes

In Cyberpunk 2077, choices matter, and ‘Somewhat Damaged’ presents players with a decision that will profoundly impact the narrative. Here’s a closer look at the two possible outcomes and their respective rewards:

Outcome 1: Spare So Mi

Choosing to spare So Mi leads to a more hopeful ending. With Songbird alive, there’s a glimmer of hope for a brighter future for both V and her. This choice resonates with themes of redemption, second chances, and the belief that everyone deserves a shot at salvation.

Rewards:

  • 30,000 Eurodollars: A hefty sum that can be used for various in-game purchases.
  • Presidential Medal: A token of appreciation from President Myers, symbolizing your contribution.
  • A Promise: The most valuable reward of all – a commitment from President Myers to help cure both V and So Mi.

Outcome 2: Kill So Mi

Choosing to end Songbird’s life is a sombre decision. While it brings closure to her tormented existence, it also leaves a void. Reed’s palpable disappointment and the diminished rewards from President Myers underscore the gravity of this choice. This outcome delves deep into themes of mercy, finality, and the moral complexities of determining another’s fate.

Rewards:

  • 5,000 Eurodollars: A significantly reduced sum, reflecting the gravity of your decision.

In Cyberpunk 2077, you’ll face many tough choices, but deciding Songbird’s fate is one of the hardest. Do you give her another chance at life or end her pain for good? It’s a tough call, and there’s no easy answer.

Choosing to save Songbird means you believe in second chances. On the other hand, letting Songbird go might feel like the kinder thing to do. The weight of your decisions tops in the choice to either spare or kill Songbird. Each choice has its consequences, and there’s no easy answer. While sparing Songbird offers a chance at redemption and hope, ending her life brings closure to her tormented existence. Whatever you choose, remember that in the world of Cyberpunk 2077, there are no clear-cut happy endings.

Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty is available now for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.
