In Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth, the rainforest-like atmosphere of the Gongaga Region is home to the eponymously named village of Gongaga, where Zack Fair is from. Here, you can pick up a variety of side quests including Teach Me, Great Warrior. The quest involves Yuffie Kisaragi doing what she does best (we all know what a great teacher she is) by mentoring Sotetsu. It ends as you would expect, with Yuffie causing a lot of trouble and getting no Materia in return.

You can obtain Teach Me, Great Warrior at the noticeboard in Gongaga. After meeting with Sotetsu, you’ll need to help Yuffie with three training rounds. Follow Sotetsu to initiate each of these lessons.

  1. Sotetsu’s First Lesson
    • Strike the enemy three times with Sotetsu. As long as you land three hits between the two of you, you’ll fulfill this requirement.
    • Pressure any one of the enemies by using Fire on any of them.
    • Make sure that Sotetsu doesn’t fall in battle.
  2. Sotetsu’s Second Lesson
    • Stagger any of the enemies.
    • Pressure any of the enemies twice by landing a lot of consistent and hard hits.
    • Don’t let Sotetsu run out of HP.
  3. Sotetsu’s Third Lesson
    • Stagger any of the enemies twice.
    • Defeat all of the enemies before time runs out.
    • Don’t let Sotetsu’s health bar drop.
  4. Sotetsu’s Final Lesson
    • Just make sure that Sotetsu doesn’t die. The Mastodons that are stomping towards you are weak to Fire, so deal them lots of magic and hard, physical attacks when possible.

Rewards

Not only will your relationship with Yuffie grow (yay), you’ll also earn:

  • Secret of the Ninja Vol. IV.
  • Ten EXP for the Party.
  • EXP for Cloud.
