Learning how to complete the Altars of Summoning Rituals in Destiny 2: Season of the Witch is very important. Since the Altars of Summoning is one of the two seasonal activities for this season, it will make it much easier to get seasonal weapons, gear, Opaque Cards, and so much more. The Altars of Summoning are in Savathun’s Throne World, a typical pattern in the Season of the Witch. Without further ado, let’s learn how to complete the Altars of Summoning in Destiny 2: Season of the Witch.ย

The first time you’ll encounter the Altars of Summoning is within The Bladed Path, the seasonal quest for the Season of the Witch. Throughout the process of the activity, you’ll aid Eris Morn in three different rituals, each a bit more difficult than the previous.ย

Ritual #1: Alak’nar, Retainer of Savathun

First, you’ll be taken into a large room. This room is where you will begin the first Ritual. Approach the waypoint where you can Begin the Ritual of Induction. From there, you’ll be teleported into a large open area containing a summoning circle in the center of it. Follow the waypoints to find and speak to Eris Morn, which will begin the first actual Ritual.ย

Once the first Ritual begins in Altars of Summoning, you must defeat Alak’nar, Retainer of Savathun. As you fight him, every time his health is lowered by a third of its max amount, you must provide a Lucent Tribute. Providing Lucent Tributes requires you to harvest and deposit 3 Burdens of Tribute. You can collect Tributes by defeating the Tribute Bearers around the map. Each Tribute Bearer comes as a wizard, though they are still relatively easy to take down. Once you deposit 3 Burdens of Tribute, Alak’nar will no longer be immune, and you can lower his health more.ย

After this is complete, head back to the summoning circle to speak with Eris Morn again. She will then move to a new summoning circle where you must follow her.ย

Ritual #2: Ternary Minds

Next, follow the waypoint to the next summoning circle and speak with Eris Morn as you did for the previous Ritual. This Ritual will include a large amount of Vex combatants in the Altars of Summoning.

First, you must Prevent Vex Sacrifices. During this portion of the Ritual, you must take down any enemies marked before they can reach the Vex Station marked by a cluster of cubes. Once you’ve defeated them, you’re on to the next portion of the Ritual. This portion involves Destroying Lenses. Lenses are cube-shaped objects that tether themselves to enemies, making them immune to damage. To destroy each lens, you only need to shoot them down. They are not durable, so taking them down is relatively quick.ย

Throughout this process, you should work toward defeating all three of the Prevenient Minds. The Prevenient Minds are three Minotaur enemies that, as a whole, make up the Ternary Minds. Once they are defeated, you can head back to Eris Morn and speak with her to complete the Ternary Mind Ritual and make your way to the find Ritual and summoning circle in one of the final portions of the Altars of Summoning.ย

Ritual #3: Ei Haaruz, Retainer of Savathun

This Ritual has similar elements to those you encountered in the Toil and Trouble quest steps, so the process may seem more familiar. The Ei Haaruz Ritual will require you to Charge the Arc Crystals. There are six Arc Crystals surrounding the summoning circle, and you must charge each of them by striking them with a melee attack. Though, as you’re doing this, keep in mind that you only have a 15-second window between one crystal and the next. That said, it’s essential to do these all at once and to be quick about it.ย

After you’ve charged all six Arc Crystals and defeated the Retainer of Savathun, head to the marked area on the map near the location where Ei Haaruz spawned to Invoke Hive Magic by interacting with the tiny glowing circle on the ground. Invoking Hive Magic will call forth the Destiny 2ย Altars of Summoning boss, an Imprisoned Abomination.ย

Once the boss, Dkurzii, Plague Spreader, is spawned, it’s time to complete the seasonal activity. Overall, you must defeat Dkurzii, but as always, there are some roadblocks in your path. Much like the Ternary Minds, there will be shields in place to protect the boss. You can take down these shields by destroying the Void Crystals. Each of these crystals is surrounded by a bubble, which you can enter in order to deal damage to the Void Crystal.ย

After you’ve taken down the boss, you can make an offering. There are four stations throughout the Altars of Summoning. Assuming you have one of the offerings from completing previous seasonal activities, you can deposit them at one of these stations to alter the difficulty of the activity.ย
