After completing the tutorial, you may want to start on completing some side quests to gain more experience. Besides The Obelisk mission, you can also take The Lost Shipment side quest in Brighter Shores. In this mission, your goal is to track down some missing weapons that should have arrived a long time ago. Although you can quickly find the name of the culprit, finding the perpetrator is tricky since you have to catch a Fetid Flounder to gain their trust.

You can start The Lost Shipment quest by speaking with Cohen at Brannof’s Dining Room in Brighter Shores. To reach this area, you can head south to Town Square from the Training Ground. Then, you need to go west to enter Brannof Boulevard. Keep walking west to find Cohen in his dining room.

The man will give you some leads, and you will need to go to two locations. Note that these people are wary against guards, so make sure you unequip any armor that you have obtained. Once you’ve done that, you can head to the Hooked Hand.

  1. Return to Town Square.
  2. Head south to reach Central Waterfront.
  3. Enter the building on the left.

You need to speak with the two diners inside this bar. Select the “I wish I could find a seller of Carthian Plumbatae” option to progress in The Lost Shipment quest. Another NPC will appear to join the conversation, and you will get the first clue about the Illusion. He will also tell you to catch a Fetid Flounder.

For now, you need to follow the second lead Cohen has given you. This time you need to go to the Vincible ship. This location can be found in the southeastern corner of the beach. Captain Shirker is in a bad mood so you need to select the “Maybe I can entertain you somehow?” dialogue option.

He will then go to the Delectable Dab Restaurant on the southwestern side of the Training Ground. Note that you need to eat a meal with Captain Shirker, so you need to pay two Silver and 760 Copper coins. You can then ask him about the missing shipment, and he’ll tell you to speak to the Man in Waiscoat at the Town Square.

Your next objective will be to visit the Hairdresser on the eastern side of the Town Square to get a monobrow. Since the man questions your fashion choice, he will demand eight Silver and 280 Copper coins.

Finally, it is time to catch a Fetid Flounder in Brighter Shores‘ The Lost Shipment quest. You can find this fish at the Overgrown Pond. Here is the route you need to take:

  1. Go to the Central Waterfront by heading south from Town Square.
  2. Keep walking west until you enter the Sea Road.
  3. Go north and you can find the Overgrown Pond area.

Note that you have to upgrade your fishing to Level 25 to catch one Fetid Flounder. After you get the fish, you have to teleport back to the Training Ground. Enter Captain Degreene’s Office and grab the quill and paper on the table.

You can then open your Toolbelt menu by pressing the belt icon on the bottom left corner. Afterward, use the quill on the paper to write down your order for Carthian Plumbatae. Finally, click the quest menu and then use the letter on the Fetid Flounder you’ve caught.

After stuffing your letter into the fish, you need to head to Eel Street to speak with the Fishmonger. Note that you need to pay 98 Copper coins to give the fish to the man. Finally, you can head to the nearby bush and hide there until someone arrives.

The Furtive Stranger will appear shortly after, and you must chase your target into a nearby alley. You’ll get into a fight after this, so you can equip your armor except for the helmet before you knock on the locked door. Two enemies will be in this room, and both are at Level 30. You need to be at least Level 20 to defeat them.
