With the season 5 update, the game has a lot of DMZ missions to complete for players, such as Konni Secrets and Missile Transports. Old Place is also a tier 2 Shadow Company mission. Like one of the tier 1 missions, Thinning the Herd from the Shadow Company, you must kill Konni Soldiers to complete this mission. So, let’s look at how to complete the Old Place DMZ mission.
Completing Old Place Mision in DMZ
You can complete the Old Place DMZ mission by killing 8 Konni Soldiers inside building 21 while extracting the Protocol. So, this mission has two tasks:
- Kill 8 Konni soldiers in Building 21
- Extract the extraction protocol from Building 21
1. Killing 8 Konni soldiers in Building 21
First, you must remember that building 21 opens only on the weekends. Therefore, you should plan your attack accordingly and be there on the weekend. Once inside, you will find most of the Konni Soldiers in the Generator room on the first and others on the second floors. Konni soldiers can quickly be identified from their black armor and red bandanas. Also, they wear red masks instead of helmets. So, once you are inside, you will not find it challenging to identify Konni Soldiers and kill eight of them. Then, to complete the Old Place DMZ mission, you must find the extraction protocol.

2. Extracting the Extraction Protocol From Building 21
The Protocol will be dropped by one of the eliminated Konni soldiers. So make sure to search each of them thoroughly. Once you have found it, ensure that you secure it in your backpack. Afterward, you must exfill securely from the area, and the mission will be completed.
As a reward for your valiance and skill in completing the Old Place DMZ mission, you will receive a Skeleton Key. Additionally, completing the mission also earns you +7500 XP.
Venturing into Building 21 as a team with three other players can significantly enhance your chances of success in the Old Place DMZ mission. A well-coordinated team can strategically divide and conquer, taking on the Konni Soldiers from multiple fronts. This strategy decreases the risk of being overwhelmed by the enemy and facilitates a quicker and more efficient mission completion.
So, remember to team up with other players and plan your attack according to the weekend timings. It will be an easy mission compared to some other faction missions.
