This week’s BitLife challenge is one that’ll have you reaching for the stars… or at least the Moon. You’ll become an astronaut who’s just trying to get by, one day at a time. While there will be some pretty big obstacles in your path, you’ll learn to be successful anyway. As an astronaut who originates from Oregon, you must head down a path that’s more than a little self-destructive. However, regardless of the seriously harmful behavior, you’ll prove that you are more than your addictions and retrieve Lunar artifacts that have never before been seen by humans.

Before we hop right into completing the challenge of the week, let’s take a look at the tasks we’ll be up against.

  1. Be born in Oregon.
  2. Become an astronaut.
  3. Drink at the club 5+ times.
  4. Maintain an alcohol addiction.
  5. Retrieve 2+ Lunar artifacts while addicted to alcohol.

To be born in Oregon in BitLife, you’ll need to create a whole new life. From your current character, head over to the Activities tab, then scroll down to the bottom and select the Surrender option. From there, choose to create a custom life.

At the character creation menu, first, choose the name and gender of your character. These don’t particularly matter, so go with whatever you want for them. However, once you get down to the Country and Place, your choices will be important. For the country, choose the United States. Then, head down to Place, and choose Portland. This week, it’ll be pretty easy to choose since there’s only one city in Oregon that appears on the list. Next, choose your Special Talents, appearance, and attributes, then begin your new character’s life.

Becoming an astronaut can be a pretty extensive task and will take a bit of time. Though, it can be done relatively early on in your life, so you don’t have to spend a ton of years training. To begin with, you’ll want to have high Athleticism and Smarts. That said, while you are in primary and secondary school, you must join a sport and study hard every chance you get. Once you’ve graduated, don’t start looking for a job just yet, and if you do, only get a part-time job.

You’ll need to get a STEM Degree, which means you’ll need to go back to University and major in one of the following: Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics. Once you have your degree, it’s best to start working toward Space Academy. Before you can even apply to space school, you need to have a Pilot’s License. Head over to the Activities tab and take 40 hours worth of Flight School, then pay the $1,000 to take your Pilot’s License test. Once you’ve got it, it’s time to get into Space Academy.

Head over to the Occupation tab, then into the Special Careers menu. From there, select the Astronaut option, then apply to Space Academy. There are three different fields that you must excel at to graduate and be brought into NASA. You’ll need to max out your fitness training, get the bar up on flight training, and answer questions correctly to pass your technical training. The goal is to get your Space Academy performance as high as possible before you graduate, then apply for a position at NASA.

Head over to the Activities tab and access the Nightlife menu. From there, you will have three different local nightclubs that you can attend. The one you choose doesn’t matter as long as you are hanging out in one of them. Oftentimes, while you are out at the club, someone will over you a drink. When it comes to these offers, you must accept, rather than decline. However, you should decline drug and hook-up offers, if you want to keep your position at NASA. Accept 5 different drinks at the club to move on to the next task in the Raving Lunar-tic Challenge.

How To Maintain an Alcohol Addiction in BitLife

Once you’ve got your 5 drinks down, you’ll likely have an active alcohol addiction now. Don’t worry, we’ve all been there. The only way to maintain an addiction is to keep feeding it, naturally. Any time you age up a year in-game, head over to the Nightlife menu and keep hitting the clubs until you’re offered a drink.

Head over to the Occupations tab, and select the Astronaut menu. From there, you should start applying to go out on missions in space. The only missions that will earn you some Lunar artifacts are Lunar Exploration missions, so aim to do those as often as possible.

Jordan is an experienced fantasy writer who spends hours behind her laptop, and lost in the pages of a book. She strives to be a successful gaming blogger, and has no complaint about the hours of game time she used to increase her knowledge of all things “geek”. She primarily writes gaming articles and fantasy novels. Ark: Survival Evolved is a favorite, along with Diablo 3, Warframe and Minecraft lately, though you can’t forget the good old Magic the Gathering card game! Writing about games truly gives her joy as it gives her another perspective to look at games from, a reason to really look into the mechanics of the game.
