After meeting with Liechtenstein, the man will tell you to visit the Ruthards and ask for their help in saving Hans. Unfortunately, the nobleman also encounters a tricky problem, and it’s up to you to save them. Your goal is not to kill people but to gather evidence that you can use against the Mint Master, Vavak. You must travel out of Kuttenberg and talk to some miners to find the missing silver. Though the Via Argentum quest mostly consists of investigating, you will still end up fighting some people in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2.
Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 Via Argentum Quest
After speaking with Christian of Pisek in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, your next goal in the Via Argentum quest is to track down three miners. If you visit the area during the day, the easiest one to find is Samko—he usually lazes around at the table. If you can’t pass the skill check, you will need to play a game of dice against him. Winning or losing doesn’t matter, as he’ll talk to you willingly either way.

The other two miners are harder to find since they are underground. The entrance to the mine is located east of the large building where Christian of Pisek is staying. Remember to bring a torch, as it is completely dark inside. You’ll need to navigate through the cramped tunnels to reach the miners.
The second miner you’ll likely encounter is Foreman Frank. You don’t need to do anything special to question him, but be sure to avoid directly asking about the amount of ore he has mined. The last miner is Foreman Paul, who is located deep within the mine. You’ll find him praying at a dead end. I recommend praying alongside him to make him more cooperative.
After you speak to the three miners, report your findings to Christian of Pisek. As expected the number of silver recorded is less than the miners reported. Your next objective in the Via Argentum quest is to confront Fett and Hermann. Foreman Fett is usually outside near Samko. When you confront him select these dialogues:
- A word, foreman!
- But you count the corves.
- We guarantee your impunity.
After you talk to Fett, you can confront Hermann inside the building. He’s much more forthcoming if you manage to make Fett talk first before speaking with him. Either way, Henry finds out that some silver has gone missing. Report back to Christian of Pisek and he’ll tell you that you need to investigate the smelter.
How To Impress Buresh

Although it’s an optional objective, impressing Buresh allows you to enter the smelter freely. However, you must increase your Charisma stat by wearing noble clothing. If you have money, you can visit a tailor and purchase suitable attire. Alternatively, you could sneak into a nobleman’s house at night and steal an outfit. Just make sure it’s clean, and avoid equipping any weapons when speaking to Buresh during the Via Argentum quest.
“When speaking with Buresh, choose either ‘I just want to take a look’ or ‘I’m interested in buying anyway.’ He will give you a letter that grants you free access to explore the smelter. In addition to examining the area and talking to workers, you need to find a man named Smelter Shima. He will provide more information about the missing silver.
Afterward, you need to confront Volkmar to discover the location of the hidden mine. I have to warn you that this will lead to a fight, so make sure to equip armor and a good weapon. Volkmar will bring out three people, but you can attempt to persuade them to avoid combat. If you fail the skill check, you’ll have to defeat all three.
Find the Secret Mint in Via Argentum Quest

Once you beat his men, Volkmar will give you the map that will show you the location of the secret mint. I suggest you heal yourself since you may encounter another fight after this. After entering the hidden mine, you will eventually confront Buresh. At this point, you can either enter into a battle with the three soldiers or pretend to cooperate.
If you decide to cooperate, grab the key on the table to open the door inside the mine. There, you will encounter two imprisoned coiners. You can speak to them to gather more information and try to persuade them to leave. However, they might refuse if you haven’t dealt with Buresh’s men. Regardless of their decision, you must lockpick the chest inside the room to obtain the proof. You’ll also receive a Minting Die from the coiners.
Should You Accept Christian’s Offer?

After reporting everything to Christian of Pisek, he will suggest continuing to “divert” the silver and working with Buresh. If you need more coins, you can accept the offer and give him the minting die. In return, you will receive 625 Groschen. Unless you want to roleplay as an upright hero, there’s no reason to reject Christian’s offer.
