Once you destroy weakened walls in Fortnite or those pesky security gates, you will kick off Chapter 4 Season 4 with a bang. This season is all about taking back the island. So, some destruction is in order. The Week 0 quests focus on damage against the environment and opponents. Among them are the weakened walls and security gates you’ve probably seen. We’ll show you how to destroy them and what rewards you’ll get from completing the quest.

The latest Fortnite update turns players into thieves and secret agents as you work to take back the island from the vampire Kado Thorne. As we do that, we must destroy some property around the island. In comes a quest in Week 0 described below:

  • Redecorate the island with explosive panache.

Step 1 of this process will see you destroy weakened walls or security gates in Fortnite. You only have to wreck two, so don’t let the objective intimidate you. Plus, it’s straightforward.

A weakened wall will have cracks in it, as the image above highlights. Meanwhile, security gates resemble prison bars. You can use your pickaxe to break them down. But if you really want to have some fun, you can pick up the new Rocket Ram weapon and blast your way through to destroy those weakened walls in Fortnite.

It’s essential that you destroy those specific walls or security gates. Any other walls or gates won’t count toward the quest. Once completed, the quest earns you 35K in XP.

Three of the new POIs in Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 4 house the weakened walls and gates you need for the quest. We’ve listed these areas below in addition to highlighting them on the map above:

  • Eclipsed Estate
  • Relentless Retreat
  • Sanguine Suites

You generally want to head to the basements for a better shot at finding the weakened walls you must destroy in Fortnite. The security gates are usually in the vaults. So, you want to walk through the red security light so that the gates will come down and close you in.
