Among the many resources in StarRupture, Data Points are some of the most important. This currency will allow you to unlock recipes, stations, and even new items, but farming them might take a long time, especially during the early hours. If you want to speed up the process or just want to know what the most efficient way to get Data Points is, here we’ll give you a couple of tips to get this currency quickly.

Easiest Way to Farm Data Points in StarRupture

The truth is that there’s only one way to farm Data Points in the game, and that is through the Analyzing Station. You might have noticed this little station in your build menu and wonder what it does. Well, it basically lets you exchange organic or valuable items for Data Points. The number of points you get will vary depending on the item.

Once you build the Analyzing Station and approach it, you’ll notice how some of your items will be highlighted, meaning that you can use them to obtain Data Points.

At first, the easiest way to farm this currency is by trading in any organic materials you locate, such as plants and even alien remains.

Farming aliens is a bit unreliable, as not all of them drop materials, so going outside and grabbing all plants before the Rupture is your best choice.

Another way to get Data Points is through abandoned bases, which usually have old technology that you can exchange for several Data Points; some items can even give you 400. However, you can only do this once, as these objects do not respawn after the Rupture.

One thing to keep in mind is that while you can also obtain Data Points through the Orbital Elevator, you can’t use these to unlock recipes, as these points go straight to the corporation you’re working toward. However, this also frees up the process of farming Data Points for two things. We always recommend saving up your Data Points for the Recipe Station instead of using them for any of the corporation. You can automate this last process, so there’s no need to level the companies manually.

In truth, it’s a bit of a tedious process at first, but once you unlock new recipes, you’ll see how fast farming Data Points in StarRupture can be. Just remember to spend them in the right recipe and do not waste them on any of the companies unless you really have to.
