How To Enable Easy Mode in Mortal Shell 2

A not-so-Mortal Shell

As many of you might have noticed already, Mortal Shell 2 looks like a completely new game, and not even a direct sequel at all. But that also means it is much more challenging than anyone ever imagined, so some players might struggle with it. Fortunately, there is an “easy mode” for Mortal Shell 2, which you can obtain through the Slayer Seal, and while it is extremely OP and virtually changes the game’s pacing, it also has one big drawback.

Obtaining the Slayer Seal in Mortal Shell 2 is extremely easy and will happen around the 1-2 hour mark, depending on how fast you go through the tutorial zone.

First, you need to complete the introductory section and make your way to Marrow Keep. Once inside, speak with whoever you have to and then head toward the Gloom Siphon and take a right. Go past the merchant and follow the path until you reach an open area in the keep. There, you’ll see a throne of sorts with the Slayer Seal.

Once you grab it, you can equip it, and it will officially turn on easy mode. However, the big drawback is that it will disable all achievements. Still, it isn’t a bad idea to use it, at least for the first playthrough, and then go back for a standard one.

In terms of what the Slayer Seal does in Mortal Shell 2, and why people call it the “easy mode” seal, it is because it adds one powerful ability for your Harbinger. Essentially, Sidearms will now do Break Damage, allowing you to constantly Riposte enemies. By doing that, you can also restore HP with each Riposte. Furthermore, it gives you the Slayer Punch ability, which also deals a lot of Break Damage to enemies, even performing an automatic Riposte if you break a foe with it.

While this item is extremely useful, we recommend sticking to the game’s standard difficulty to get the hang of it. With the game being open world, you can always go and try a different boss or dungeon, get stronger, and return to the one where you were having trouble. Plus, it will make some fights extremely trivial, and combat is one of the best parts of Mortal Shell 2.
