Growlithe, the Fire pupper Pokemon, is considered to be one of the most interesting defensive Fire Pokemon thanks to its Intimidate Ability and its skill to bypass the enemy’s defense by using Will-O-Wisp. Arcanine, its evolution, also comes with outstanding Speed stat and access to strong attacks. They’re definitely a couple of dogs that you want to have to protect your team. Here’s how you can evolve a Growlithe into Arcanine in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet.

How To Evolve Growlithe Into Arcanine in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet

In Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, a Growlithe can evolve into an Arcanine when given a Fire Stone, just like in previous Pokemon games. Fire Stones can be bought from Delibird Presents for 3,000 PokeDollars after beating the third Gym or found as random drops in East Province (Area Two) and (Area Three). In the wild, Arcanine can be encountered in a Bamboo Thicket and Rocky biome, specifically in North Province (Area Two), although its spawn is very rare.

In case you are also looking for a Growlithe, it is also an uncommon Pokemon. Try looking for one around Mine and Rocky biomes such as East Province (Area Three) and South Province (Area Three). Thankfully, both Pokemon are not subject to version exclusivity.
