How to Farm Acid for Some Caustic Combat in Once Human

The marvels of melting

Bullets eat away at your enemies, so it’s no wonder Once Human crafts them with Acid. You can find this resource early on, but it remains useful throughout the game, appearing in a variety of recipes. The biggest thing you’ll need Acid for is ammunition, as you’ll burn through plenty of bullets even with PvP disabled. The game shares Ark‘s appreciation for hardcore survival, and the risks involved in farming this resource are real. Here’s how to farm acid (and the best locations to do so) in Once Human.

Even if you built your base somewhere troublesome, farming Acid isn’t terrible, although it can be dangerous. There are several good Acid farm locations in Once Human, but if you’re just getting started the best is Brookham. The Level 8 enemies there won’t pose much of a problem even if you’re rocking starter gear, so don’t be afraid to get messy. Beware the elite enemy near the church, however. It can soak plenty of bullets if you’re low-level, which kind of defeats the purpose of your trip. Here’s how to get started:

  1. Travel beyond the northern wetlands to Brookham
  2. Loop through high-traffic areas, killing any mobs you encounter
  3. Collect Acid from slain mobs
  4. Repeat the farming circuit as necessary

Highbank and Holtown are great Acid farm locations once you get a few more levels under your Once Human belt. You can also passively farm Acid if your base is near a Stardust Polluted area, although this strategy is best suited for late-game players or those working in groups. After researching and installing filtration systems you’ll be able to separate the Acid from contaminated water, leaving yourself drinkable water and Acid for your future bullets. Stick with a crossbow to minimize your bullet consumption, and you’ll have more Acid than you could melt a Deviant with.
