As you progress through Palia, you will have to find and farm many materials for various purposes in the game, and fish is one of them. By visiting different locations, using certain baits, and fishing at specific times of the day, you can catch more than 80 unique types of fish, so you will have to put in a lot of effort to find them all. While some fish are only good for cooking and completing quests, fish like the Stalking Catfish can be a great source of income. Unfortunately, finding and catching Stalking Catfish in Palia is difficult, but we are here to help you.
Where To Catch Stalking Catfish in Palia
To find and catch Stalking Catfish in Palia, you should head to Kilima Village or Bahari Bay and fish the local Ponds. In addition, during the daytime, Stalking Catfish rests in deep water, so you can only catch it during the Evening and Night time. As for the bait, you should pay attention to the Glow Worm. Although the Stalking Catfish is a night freshwater inhabitant, it didn’t lose its sight like the Eyeless Minnow. But glowing bait is still the best choice as it attracts more of this fish’s attention at night.
As we said, you can catch Stalking Catfish in any Pond, but we suggest you start fishing in Mirror Pond Ruins in the northwest part of Kilima Valley. However, choose the fishing spot based on the water ripples. If you fish in these areas, you will not increase your chances of catching rarer or specific fish, but you will be more likely to get the Quality version of the fish. And this is an essential factor considering that Stalking Catfish is a good fish for farming money.
If you are new to fishing, it is worth talking about bait. Unlike the regular Worm, you won’t be able to get the Glow Worm until you level up your fishing to 7. But once you’ve completed this requirement, you can buy them from the Einar’s Guild Store or farm them yourself from the Glow Worm Farm.
How To Use Stalking Catfish in Palia
Even though Stalking Catfish is Uncommon, its value is slightly higher. You can use this fish in the following ways:
- First, you can sell the Stalking Catfish for 125 Gold or 187 Gold if you catch the Quality version of this fish.
- You can also use this fish to cook delicious meals.
- Also, some NPCs may ask you to bring the Stalking Catfish as a quest item. You do not have to complete these quests, but it will help you increase your friendship level with some NPCs.
