Are you interested in ascending the dangerously handsome and posh Judicator of Fontaine Neuvillette? If so, you’ll need a rare material known as Fontemer Unihorn, which is dropped by the gorgeous yet hostile Millennial Pearl Seahorse in Genshin Impact. While this Mystical Beast is “more horse than sea,” it still prefers to reside in a den beneath the waves of the Hydro region. In fact, this Normal Boss’s lair is well-hidden and requires the entry of an easy-to-miss underwater tunnel to reach it. That said, anyone confused as to the Millennial Pearl Seahorse’s whereabouts in Fontaine can follow our instructions below.
How To Get to the Millennial Pearl Seahorse in Genshin Impact
To get to the Millennial Pearl Seahorse in Genshin Impact, begin your journey by fast-traveling to the Teleport Waypoint at the Fontaine Research Institute of Kinetic Energy Engineering Region. To clarify, this Waypoint sits near the docks on the northern side of the Liffey Region’s lake, west of the New Fontaine Research Institute landmark. After you’ve arrived, do the following:
- Head to the Waverider Waypoint and get on your personal boat.
- Ride out to the upper center of the body of water and take a look at your map. The spot where you want to disembark is right above where the lower area of the reefs underwater disappears.
- Get off your boat, dive, and look for a large opening of a tunnel.
- Swim into the tunnel and use the currents to speed your way straight to the Waypoint outside the Millennial Pearl Seahorse’s location in Genshin Impact.
How To Beat the Millennial Pearl Seahorse in Genshin Impact
You’ll find the Millennial Pearl Seahorse resting peacefully at the center of its lair. Channeling all your stress from pulling Qiqi or Jean in Limited Character Banners, it’s time for you to go slay this beautiful Fontemer Aberrant. Dubbed the Nameless Lord of the Great Lake, the Millennial Pearl Seahorse deals Electro Damage, which is apparent by its strikingly evident purple color. That said, avoid using Eletrco characters when fighting this Normal Boss unless you need Kuki for heals.
Similar to the Ancestor Spirit from Elden Ring, one of the Genshin Millennial Pearl Seahorse’s basic moves is a descending stomp, during which it leaps into the air twice before slamming down. Be careful for the AoE aftershock when it pulls its hooves from the ground. It also has a tail-swiping attack that evolves into two swipes during its second phase.
However, the main attacks we suggest keeping an eye out for are its charge variants and electric AoE summon. During its charge, it’ll lift itself momentarily before diving down, its horn aimed at your on-field character. The massive Electro attack will usually appear after you’ve whittled its HP down to a certain point.
If you’d like to take down the Millennial Pearl Seahorse as efficiently as possible, aim for the Xenomare Pearl around its chest area. If you manage to destroy this weak spot, the Mystical Beast will become momentarily vulnerable, allowing you to give a good beating for free. Also, note that the floating Resonant Coral Orbs it occasionally summons can also be destroyed to deal serious damage to the Pearl.
Obviously, all the strategic talk above goes out the door if you have a solid shield provider like Zhongli or an off-field healer like Kokomi. In our case, we used a team consisting of Nahida, Nilou, Yelan, and Kokomi. Spamming Bloom bombs with Elemental Reactions is how we beat the Millennial Pearl Seahorse easily, disregarding any mechanics because Kokomi kept our team above 75% HP.
That said, we’ll summarize how to get to the Millennial Pearl Seahorse in Genshin Impact and defeat it in combat:
- Fast-travel to the Waypoint near the northern docks of the Liffey Region.
- Ride your Waverider out into the water and dive below the water’s surface, where the lower portion of the reef appears to go under the shelf above.
- Follow the tunnel’s currents to the Genshin Millennial Pearl Seahorse.
- Focus damage on the boss’s Pearl for maximum efficiency. Avoid using Electro damage.
Once the Millennial Pearl Seahorse has been defeated, the Trounce Blossom will grant you Fontemer Unihorns for the dashing Neuvillette.
