Forgetting about the plot for a while, AC Mirage offers players a ton of side content ranging from simple Enigmas to some relatively essential side quests. Shortly after you and Nehal find a strange symbol during the prologue, you will begin Nehal’s Calling, a side quest that will guide you to the secret cave of the ancient Isu civilization. The quest description reads that the hidden place is north of Aqarquf Dunes, but if you have just started your journey to AC Mirage, you should go east. This path will lead you to an oasis and later to one of the top sets of equipment.
AC Mirage: Hidden Place North of the Aqarquf Dunes Location
First of all, it is worth noting that Aqarquf Dunes is a large desert area located southeast of Anbarr and northwest of Baghdad. You can not quickly explore this vast area with your own eyes or even with the help of Enkidu. In addition, the quest description that says hidden place north of the Aqarquf Dunes gives a vague clue about its correct location in AC Mirage. If you’re looking for the short answer, you should find a large oasis in the north-central desert and dive underwater. But here are more specific steps:
- First, if you take the Winter Palace as your starting point, go east until you find the oasis.
- If you have already reached Baghdad, leave the city and go northwest direction a little east of Anbar.
- Having gone far enough, we recommend using Enkidu to locate an oasis quickly.
- Having reached this location, you should also synchronize with the Viewpoint on the eastern coast of the oasis since you will have to return here many times.
- Next, we advise you to look around the area and defeat the soldiers to find several notes from Al-Ghul, which will tell you about the supposed secret cave under the waters of the oasis.
How To Get to the Cave Under the Oasis
It is worth noting that Al-Ghul’s notes are small clues designed to tell you about the cave. You should find them as part of the quest, so search the area near the oasis. After that, you only need to sneak into the hidden cave, and here’s how to do it:
- To begin, use Enkidu to inspect the water surface and find the location of the entrance to the underwater cave.
- Approach the desired shore, dive, and swim deeper until you notice an underwater tunnel. The Basim’s lungs will cope with this dive.
- After swimming through the tunnel, you will finally find that secret cave built by ancient Isu.
Once inside the cave, you will notice three pedestals and three passages closed by force walls. These pedestals conceal three ancient and powerful pieces of equipment created by Isu. To obtain each item, you will need several Mysterious Shards. So, you must go through most of the story to collect the entire set of ancient equipment.
To summarize all of the above, here are all the steps you have to go through:
- Go east from Anbarr or northwest of Baghdad.
- Once you reach the oasis, use Enkidu to find an underwater passage.
- Swim through the underwater tunnel and enter the secret cave.
