Potential Fix #2: Disable and Turn Crossplay Back On
Similar to restarting, this might remove and fix the “Failed Fetching Crossplay Friends List” error in MW2. To do so, follow the steps below:
- Launch the game and go to the Settings
- Select “Options” and go to “Account and Network”
- Look for “Crossplay” and choose to disable it
Afterward, consider restarting the game and going back to Settings to enable it again. Perhaps this will resolve the issue.
