This article is over 1 years old and may contain outdated information.

Rift Anchors mark some of the most important areas you can visit in Once Human. They also mark those areas as riddled with enemies and secrets to unveil. However, sometimes you’ll go to a Rift Anchor only to be met with a message reading “No Access to Rift Anchor.” There’s probably nothing more annoying in the game than receiving that message after making the long trek to that location. So, let’s dive into how to fix “No Access to Rift Anchor” in Once Human.

No Access to Rift Anchor Explained

There are two reasons why you wouldn’t have access to a Rift Anchor:

  • Your level isn’t high enough to access that Rift Anchor.
  • You’re in an area that you have not yet unlocked in the story.

Low Level

When you press the M key to look over the map, hovering over Rift Anchors gives you more information about them. One of the key pieces of information you need to look at is what level it’s at. The Rift Anchor is the only landmark that requires you to be the level that is marked. You can complete all the other objectives in the area, but you still cannot unlock the Rift Anchor if you aren’t leveled enough.

Not Far Enough in the Story

Another reason why you might not have access to the Rift Anchor is because of where you are in the story. While you’re able to travel to far locations, you can’t always do as you please. Even if you match the level that the Rift Anchor requires you to be, you won’t be able to unlock it if you aren’t far enough in the story. You’ll know you’re far enough to activate it when a purple beam shoots upward.
