How To Get a Guaranteed 5-Star in Wuthering Waves

This is how a new obsession begins

Thankfully, Kuro Games has showered players with bonuses and gifts on the release day of their latest game. These generous offerings pave the way for everyone to secure several guaranteed characters in Wuthering Waves, including 5-stars. But it’s not just about quantity; it’s about being strategic with your resources. By prioritizing the acquisition of easier-to-obtain in-game currencies, you can preserve the premium ones for when they truly matter.

Wuthering Waves: Get Your First Guaranteed 5-Star Resonator

The first time you enter the game, you’ll see different character banners available. The first one that should interest you is the Novice Convene: Utterance of Marvels, which is precisely for those eager to get their first character. Unlike the rest of the banners with a pity system that guarantees a 5-star character up to the 80 pull (Convene), this one guarantees it in the 50 Convene. When you get your first 5-star guaranteed character, this same banner will become the Character Permanent Convene: Tidal Chorus, that is to say, the Standard.

Now, the trick with the second banner, Tidal Chorus, is that you can decide which resonator you want. You only have to target the Wuthering Waves 5-star character you want, and you will get that guaranteed. However, this time, it will be up to 80 Convenes. Yes, the first time, we will get the Convenes discount, but after that, you can choose which unit you want for your teams. It’s also recommended that you only use Lustrous Tides and not Astrites, as Lustrous Tides are easier to get in missions or events. Also, with these same release bonuses, players will get more resonators for free. Yangyang will join your team during the story or Sanhua as a daily log-in reward. With all these rewards from Kuro Games, you will even have characters to spare.

In your initial and standard banner Conventions, you can acquire 4-star characters to create a great team. This first version of Wuthering Waves will simultaneously have two 5-star promotional characters, Jiyan and Yinlin. We know that the most exciting thing to do is to try to get one of the limited-time resonators. However, you should also consider the type of compositions you want to achieve; some characters will go better with a DPS character like Jiyan or a control character like Yinlin, for instance. However, you can always just go for the resonator you like fancy the most. No judgment here.
