There are so many different resources that you can find and use when playing My Time at Sandrock. Some of these are obtainable right at the beginning of the game while others require some time in the game to get to certain areas. When it comes to Aluminum Scrap, you’ll need to spend some time playing before you can hope to grab some. Once you’re able to find it, they’re easy to harvest for all sorts of different recipes.
Where To Get Aluminum Scrap in My Time at Sandrock
Aluminum Scraps can only be found in the Valley of Whispers to the east of Sandrock, just north of Grand Mesa and Paradise Lost. The area is covered in a thin layer of green gas that will knock off 50 HP every second unless you have a Protective Suit. You can also wait until the area is cleared of the gas after the mission titled Clear The Air before venturing in. We quite literally ventured in with a ton of Yakmel Milk on hand to explore without the fear of fainting.
To actually mine the Aluminum Scrap, you must have an Iron Pickhammer on hand. You’ll want to make sure that you’ve made one beforehand because the actual areas with Aluminum Scrap are closer to the center of the valley where Yakmel stops aren’t as readily available.
Aluminum Scrap Usage
You can recycle Aluminum Scrap in a Civil Recycler to create the following:
Item | Time | Returns | Exp | Proficiency |
Aluminum Scrap | 2h 30m | – Dregs (3-4) – Magnesium Aluminum Alloy (1-2) – Aluminum Alloy Plate (1) | 60 | 5 |
