Want to know how to get and use Firewood in Sons of the Forest? As you progress through Sons of the Forest, you must overcome many difficulties because, besides cannibals, mutants, and savages, even nature plays against you. Sometimes it will be too cold for you to go further, or you need to cook some pieces of meat, and a fire is just what you need. Having created a basic campfire, you will often have to throw sticks. But it is much more profitable and efficient to use Firewood, and today we will tell you how to get it in Sons of the Forest.

How to Get Firewood in Sons of the Forest

Unlike campfire sticks, you can’t get Firewood with your bare hands, so you can’t do without an axe. First, you must find and cut down any tree to get at least one log. Next, cut the log lengthwise to get Planks. Next, you need to cut the Planks into four even pieces, after which you will receive four Firewood.

These pieces of wood look like half stumps, but they will only become Firewood when used. So stock up a lot of Firewood near the fire and use it as needed.

How to Use Firewood in Sons of the Forest

After chopping Planks into 4 Firewood, you must take at least one and place it on the fire. But it’s worth noting that you won’t be able to put Firewood on regular fire. To make it work, you need to create a Reinforced Fire. To do this, break a couple of sticks, put them on the ground, and set them on fire to get a fire. After that, find some small rocks and place them around the fire to get Reinforced fire.

Such a fire will not go out for much longer, but you can make it even more durable by using Firewood. Take the Firewood in your hand and place it on the Reinforced fire, after which you will see a small animation. Your character will cut the Firewood into two more pieces and throw them into the fire.

That’s all you need to know about how to get and use Firewood in Sons of the Forest. If you have an axe, you will have no problem getting as much Firewood as you want. Be careful when throwing Firewood into a fire, as you can catch fire.

As of 2023, Sons of the Forest is available only on PC.
