Table of Contents
Even though Palia is currently in beta, it already has a lot of content. In addition, with each update, it becomes more and more. For example, Patch 0.172 added a lot of customization and new gems to the game, which are much more valuable than they might seem. Of course, we’re talking about Starstones, which players can find in Palia and use to earn money or improve their friendship levels. But to find them, you will have to mine a lot.
Where To Find Starstones
Previously, mining in Palia could only bring you a few types of ores. However, after the new patch, all mining nodes became much more expensive, as they started to drop 10 different Starstones:
- Garnet – Uncommon (400 Gold)
- Quartz – Uncommon (250 Gold)
- Citrine – Rare (600 Gold)
- Aquamarine – Rare (800 Gold)
- Onyx – Rare (500 Gold)
- Emerald – Epic (1000 Gold)
- Amethyst – Epic (3000 Gold)
- Jasper – Epic (800 Gold)
- Sapphire – Epic (2000 Gold)
- Ruby – Legendary (8000 Gold)
Each of them can drop from any of the mining nodes in Kilima Village and Bahari Bay. Therefore, the best way to get those valuable Starstones in Palia is to mine every node you can find. Of course, this may take quite a lot of time, but these gems are worth all your effort as they can bring you quite a lot of Gold.
Why You Should Collect Starstones
As we said, all Starstones are quite valuable. They can be sold for Gold, and the rarer the gem you can find, the more expensive you will sell it. For example, several Ruby can bring you 16,000 Gold. But of course, they are very hard to find.
However, if you do not urgently need Gold, saving it for gifting to the villagers is better. All Starstones make great gifts that will be loved by many. However, for a character to really enjoy Starstones, you must choose one that aligns with their Star Path. We strongly recommend gifting the appropriate gem to each character, as this will unlock some exclusive dialogue lines.
That’s all you need to know about how to get and use Starstones in Palia. These Gems are a great addition to mining and will also help you earn a lot of Gold fast. In the meantime, please take a look at our guide on how to find and catch Garden Mantis.
Palia is now in Open Beta and will be released on PC and the Nintendo Switch.
