Potion brewing is one of the many exciting role-playing features in Hogwarts Legacy. There’s a nice variety of potions in the game too, some helping in combat and some making it easier for you to sneak by your fellow students and faculty. The Thunderbrew Potion is geared toward combat though. So if you need some help, we’ll show you how to get and use Thunderbrew Potion in Hogwarts Legacy.

If you want some extra arsenal for the many battles you will face, you will need to get the Thunderbrew Potion. This is also a requirement from Professor Sharp’s assignment. There are two ways you can go about this:

  1. Purchase it directly
  2. Brew it yourself

To buy the Thunderbrew Potion, head to J. Pippin’s Potions in Hogsmeade. He sells the potion for 1,000 Galleons.

However, you can always get the recipe for Thunderbrew Potion so you can make it whenever you need it in Hogwarts Legacy. You can buy the recipe from the same shop. It sells for 1,200 Galleons.

Of course, if you buy the recipe, you also need the ingredients. The recipe for Thunderbrew Potion is listed below:

  • Leech Juice x1
  • Shrivelfig Fruit x1
  • Stench of the Dead x1

In Hogwarts Legacy, Thunderbrew Potion takes 1m 30s to brew. You can do this in Potions Class or in the Room of Requirement.

For Leech Juice, look around waterfronts to gather the material. Otherwise, it sells for 150 Galleons at J. Pippin’s Potions and for 150 Galleons at the Hamlet Shop over in Keenbridge.

With Shrivelfig Fruit, you can buy the Seeds or the Fruit from The Magic Neep for 150 Galleons a piece.

The last ingredient for Thunderbrew Potion in Hogwarts Legacy is Stench of the Dead. This ingredient comes from battling Inferi. Otherwise, you can buy it from J. Pippin’s Potions for 100 Galleons.

Spells are not the only way you can take down opponents in Hogwarts Legacy. Instead, you can use a powerful combat potion like Thunderbrew to leave behind some damage.

When you uncork the Thunderbrew Potion, it will create a storm around you. This storm will subsequently damage and stun nearby enemies.

It is a great way for you to control the battlefield or it comes in handy if you feel overwhelmed and need some extra support.

So, save up your gold to buy the potion outright or find all the ingredients to brew it whenever you wish.
