Trails & Tales is an upcoming update that will add new mobs, blocks, biomes, and plants to the game; one of these plants is the Minecraft Torchflower. This eye-catching flower is a colorful alternative to decorate your garden. The Torchflower has already become indispensable in ornate gardens with its purple leaves and flame-like appearance.

However, Torchflower has other uses besides its lovely appearance. That’s why you may want to learn what the Torchflower is, how it is obtained and where it is used.

How to Get Torchflower Seeds in Minecraft

Torchflowers will be available with the Minecraft 1.20 update. However, while it’s easy to watch it grow, getting the Torchflower is a little tricky. For this, you’ll need the help of the Sniffer, one of the new mobs that will be added with the 1.20 game update.

Sniffers will frequently bury their noses in the ground and start digging. When the Sniffer finishes the digging, a Torchflower seed will then drop on the ground. Keep in mind that you can only get 1 seed at a time and will have to wait for the Sniffer to start digging again. Sniffers only dig Dirt, Grass, Podzol, Coarse, Rooted, Moss, and Mud blocks.

How to Plant Torchflower Seeds

After getting Torchflower seeds with the help of the Sniffer, plant this seed in the ground. You can plant Torchflower seeds by right-clicking on a farmland near a water source. The growth process consists of three stages, and in the final stage, you can harvest your purple-leaved and flame-looking Torchflowers.

What Are Torchflowers Used For In Minecraft?

Since the Torchflower is an incredibly beautiful flower, it is preferred to be a cosmetic item. You can breed a Snifflet by using 2 Torchflowers seeds and 2 Sniffers. Moreover, if you feed Sniffers with Torchflower seeds, a Snifflet will appear and you can keep doing this every 5 minutes.

By the way, when you find a Parrot, don’t miss it. Because you can use Minecraft Torchflower seeds to tame a Parrot. Another use of Torchflower is the production of orange dye. Although you can generally use it for cosmetic purposes, we think it is totally worth it.

As a result, Torchflowers are for breeding Sniffers, taming Parrots, producing orange dye, and decorating your garden.

Minecraft is available on PC, PlayStation, Xbox, Android, iOS, and Nintendo Switch. You can visit the official Minecraft site and check out the latest update.
