After you learn of the location of the Church Key in Resident Evil 4, your next step is to figure out how to get the Apostate’s Head. This one’s a bit tricky and will require a puzzle to complete, along with quite a bit of fighting. However, you will pick up a very important key in this portion of Chapter Four, along with some useful items and maybe even a new weapon. Resident Evil 4: How to Get the Apostate’s Head
When you first leave the Mural Cave, you need to head back out to the boat and head back out toward the area where the Merchant’s Hideout is. When you reach the Merchant’s Hideout, keep traveling South until you reach a large Cave system right off the water.

Head into the caves and take down the few Ganado that will be patrolling the area. As you make your way through the caves, keep track of the walls as you fight through the numerous Ganado that will try to stop you.
When you reach the fork in the path, heading to the left will allow you to unlock a door leading to the docks, while heading right will lead you to the puzzle you’ll need to complete to get the head.
Once you’ve taken down the enemies, wander around the cave system, looking for yellow symbols painted on the walls. Take note of the symbols.
The First and Second Symbols are very close to the door.
The Third Symbol is around the corner.
Head back to the puzzle door and input all three of the symbols you found within the cave. This will open the door, revealing the Apostate’s Head.
Now, head back out to your boat and get ready to go find the Blasphemer’s Head.
