Want to know how to get Barboach Slime in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet? While the Pokémon world is full of powerful pocket monsters, none are perfect. Of course, you should look for Pokémon with the best Natures, but you can upgrade everything else later. Use the Hyper Training mechanic to raise an IV, and if you want to teach a Pokémon new moves, use a TM. If you’re a Ground-type Pokemon fan, you’ll have to find a pair of Barboach Slimes, and it’s not that easy to do. But our guide is here to help you and tell you how to get Barboach Slime in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet.
How to Get Barboach Slime in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet
To get Barboach Slime in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, you must find and defeat Barboach and Whiscash in their habitats. Also, you don’t have to catch these Pokémon, although you can do so if you wish. After you defeat Barboach and Whiscash, you will get 1 to 3 Barboach Slime, so if you only need to craft a few TMs, you won’t have to farm very long.
Since these Pokémon are Catfish, Barboach, and Whiscash prefer to live in small lakes and rivers. They never swim in seawater, so do not even try to look for them in the coastal waters of Paldea. However, the game map is full of places where you can find these Pokemon:
Barboach:
- East Province (Area One-Five)
- North Province (Area One)
- South Province (Area Three-Four)
- Tagtree Thicket
Whiscash:
- Glaseado Mountain
- South Province (Area Six)
- West Province (Area Three)
- North Province (Area One)
- Tagtree Thicket
Once you meet Barboach and Whiscash, you should know their strengths and weaknesses. After all, by choosing suitable opponents, you will win much faster. Since these Barboach and Whiscash are Water and Ground-type Pokémon, they are only weak against Grass-type moves. But Grass-type deals 4x to these Pokemon, so when you go hunting, take a Pokemon with such skills. At the same time, Barboach and Whiscash are immune to electric-type moves, so they shouldn’t be used in combat.
How to Use Barboach Slime in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet
Once you’ve got some Barboach Slime, you can use the TM Machine and create the following Ground-type TMs:
TM133 (Earth Power):
- Barboach Slime x3
- Shellos Mucus x3
- Silicobra Sand x5
- Diglett Dirt x3
- Phanpy Nail x5
- Barboach Slime x3
