While exploring the lands of Aeternum is exciting at first, it can become tiring after a while, especially if you have to travel long distances. Fortunately, the developers decided to fix this inconvenience and finally added Mounts to the game along with the Rise of the Angry Earth DLC. However, although you can now move much faster, you will need to find new ingredients, such as Basic Mount Vitamins, to prepare Mount food in New World. And, of course, the game won’t tell you directly where to look for them.

By purchasing the Rise of the Angry Earth DLC and reaching level 25, you can unlock the “A Kingdom for a Horse” quest. During this and the next quests, you will learn how to tame animals, get your first Mount, and several ingredients for crafting Mount food. One of them is Basic Mount Vitamins, which are not entirely clear how to get in New World.

The first time you will get these vitamins is during the quest. But to get even more Basic Mount Vitamins. you need to complete more Mount quests and races. Most of them will require you to get to a certain point within a limited time. Just win races, and you will collect a lot of vitamins without any problems.

What Are Basic Mount Vitamins Used For?

For your Mount to always feel good, you need to feed them. Well, actually, the mounts in New World don’t really need food that much, but you can still feed them and get benefits from doing so.

When you feed your horse or any other animal you have tamed, you gain experience points for your riding skill. Although you can only do this three times a day, it will help you level up your skill much faster. And since Basic Mount Vitamins are the key ingredient for crafting any mount food, you need as much of it as possible. For example, for the simplest recipe like Mount Vittles, you need 3 Basic Mount Vitamins:

  • Basic Mount Vitamins – 3
  • Barley – 1
  • Water – 1
  • Milk – 1

That’s all you need to know about how to find Basic Mount Vitamins in New World. This ingredient can be obtained much easier than it seems, just by winning the mount races. In the meantime, please take a look at our guide on how to get the Syncretic Bow.
