Black Diamond is one of the most useful resources in all of Return to Moria. It can be used to craft Map Stones that help make your gameplay experience easier via fast travel and to help you reach the next region in the game. They’re easily findable early in the game if you know where to look. Considering that, we wrote out exactly how to get Black Diamonds in Return to Moria.

The easiest way to get Black Diamond is by heading anywhere you can find Orcs. You don’t need to loot their bodies to find this resource. Instead, you need to find chests located around their encampment that have rewards inside. These chests require Orc Keys to open them, which can easily be obtained by breaking down the wooden structures that are directly next to the chests by using your pickaxe. You can also kill Bolgakh in The Western Halls.

Each chest should have at least one Black Diamond inside for you to take alongside other gems. In our experience, we recommend that you save these Black Diamonds until you absolutely need them, considering that they are finite resources. There is going to be a point where you will need a minimum of 15 Black Diamonds in order to build a staircase to the next area. If you don’t have them, then you’ll need to figure out ways of coming up with that amount.

If, by chance, you need to create a Map Stone to fast-travel to another Map Stone, then try to limit it to only a few times until you have a really good stock of Black Diamonds on you.
