Bright Eyed Crabs are wildlife creatures in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom. These unique creatures are pivotal when it comes to restoring Link’s health and stamina. However, they are not that easy to get. Like many other critters and monsters in Hyrule, these appear only at specific locations and weather. Nevertheless, once you get them, you will be able to mix them in various recipes. This guide will show you how to get Bright-Eyed Crabs in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom.

You can get Bright-Eyed Crabs in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom in the following locations:

  • Lanayru Wetlands
  • Lanayru Great Spring
  • Zora’s Domain

These unique monsters in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom appear only when it rains. So, nothing is surprising about their spawn location if we consider the neverending rain in Zora’s Domain.

Now, once you find a Bright-Eyed Crab, all you need to do is sneak up to it and take it into your inventory when the game prompts you to do it.

Bright-Eyed Crabs in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom are very useful. In addition to restoring health, they can also replenish Link’s Stamina. Eating raw Bright-Eyed Crab restores one heart, while when cooked, they give back two full hearts. Moreover, when cooked, Bright-Eyed Crabs will provide energizing effect, replenishing Link’s stamina.

There are several recipes in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom that contain this kind of crab, including:

  • Crab Omelet with Rice
  • Crab Risotto
  • Salt-Grilled Crab
  • Seafood Rice Balls
  • Seafood Paella
  • Crab Stir-Fry

There is a side adventure in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom that involves Bright-Eyed Crabs. You can pick up the quest from Cleff at the Coral Reef, the general store in Zora’s Domain. Titled ‘Crabulous Deal’ the quest tasks you to bring 10 Bright-Eyed Crabs to Cleff. Once you collect 10 Bright-Eyed Crabs roaming around the Lanayru Wetlands, Zora’s Domain, and Lanayru Great Spring, return to Cleff for a reward. You will receive one Sapphire for your efforts. After completing this quest, you can return to Cleff whenever you have these crabs for additional rewards.

One more important to note is not to use Bright-Eyed Crabs for elixirs. Now that you know how to get Bright-Eyed Crabs in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom, it is time you explore the wetlands for these unique monsters and replenish Link’s health and stamina.
