At first glance, you might think that Moonstone Island works just like other farming sims. But this is only partly true since not all resources spawn on your farm or found in caves. Instead, you need to take care of your Spirits. Therefore, your first step to obtain Clay is to build a Spirit Barn and Spirit Stalls on Moonstone Island.
The Spirit Barn blueprint will unlock after you complete Taming Spirits 101. Then, build it using some resources:
- Wood x100
- Stone x100
- Moonstone Ingot x1
- Iron Ingots x3
In this structure, you can keep all your Spirits, but more importantly, you can place Spirit Stalls there. Players can craft them from wood and cloth. After that, all you have to do is find an Earth-type Spirit to farm Clay as much as you want in Moonstone Island.
Clay is an important resource that you will need for both crafting and unlocking the Spring Temple. So, after placing the Spirit Stalls in the Spirit Barn, you should leave all your Earth-type Spirits there and feed them for a few days. However, it is worth noting that you should put their food in the Spirit Stalls and not feed them directly.
If you do everything correctly, soon your Earth-type Spirits will drop Clay in Moonstone Island. Although this is the only way to obtain many important resources in the game, it is unlocked quite early. Therefore, you should collect as many Spirits of different types as possible.
