Finding resources like Rough Amber, needed to make Cut Amber, can be challenging if you’re unsure where to look in LEGO Fortnite. Cut Amber is a handy material for crafting. However, it takes some time to play the game before you’ll actually find any. Fear not; we’ve got you covered with a guide on how to get Cut Amber in Lego Fortnite.

You can get Cut Amber by popping Rough Amber into the Gem Cutter. But here’s the tricky part: you must hustle to get your hands on Rough Amber because it takes some grinding in the game.

Look for Rough Amber in the Dry Valley, the desert biome, usually chilled on top of those hills. Don’t forget that you’ll need an Uncommon Pickaxe to farm this material, which you can craft by upgrading your Workbench to Uncommon status. Below are the steps you need to follow.

  1. Get an Uncommon Pickaxe
  2. Go to Dry Valley and Farm Rough Amber
  3. Build the Gem cutter and craft Cut Amber

Getting an Uncommon Pickaxe

The first step to get Cut Amber in LEGO Fortnite is to make an Uncommon Pickaxe; you must level up your Workbench. Upgrade it with 8 Planks and 3 Shells. Get Planks by tossing wood into the Lumbermill, and grab Shells by taking out Rollers in grassy and cave areas. Once that’s done, you can craft an Uncommon Pickaxe using 5 Woods.

Finding Rough Amber

As I mentioned earlier, you can find Rough Amber on the hills in Dry Valley. Use your Uncommon Pickaxe to break down these golden crystals and collect them. But they’re usually found on hills or attached to hill walls. So, you might have to build some stairs to get there. So, bring some Wood with you or find it around when needed.

Building the Gem Cutter and Crafting Cut Amber

Once you’ve enough Rough Amber, head back to your base and build a Gem Cutter. You’ll have to wait until you find Rough Amber to make it. Building Gem Cutter needs rough amber as a material, along with marble slabs, sand claws, and sand shells. Once you’ve gathered enough materials, build the Gem Cutter and use it to make some Cut Amber.

Cut Amber is super helpful for crafting advanced tools like the Forest Axe, which you’ll need to gather materials like Flexwoods. Getting these materials is crucial as you progress in the game. So, it is best to get some Cut Amber once you stumble upon the Dry Valley.
