Here, we’ll show you how to get Dinraal’s Scale in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom. In the game, there are four dragons from which you can get ingredients: Light Dragon, Dinraal, Farosh, and Naydra. Each of them has its own element, and for example, Dinraal will launch fireballs at you. You can get a scale, claw, fang, and horn from each of the dragons. They can be used to improve armor, create elixirs, fuse weapons, or just be sold profitably.

Getting any of the dragon’s parts can take quite some time. To get to the dragon, you need to know from which locations it can be conveniently done, and you will also have to wait until it flies to you because the dragons circle around the map and have their own specific routes. Our guide will help you find Dinraal in Zelda Tears of the Kingdomย and get the material you’re looking for easily and safely.

In Breath of the Wild, dragons always appear at the same time in the same place. In Zelda: TotK, this was changed, and now the dragon’s flight does not depend on the game time.

Dinraal appears from the East Akkala Plains Chasm and flies over the Eldin Mountains and Akkala Regions, after which he re-enters the underground place through the Drenan Highlands Chasm. Below are the best places to get to Dinraal and farm Dinraal’s Scale:

  • Thyphlo Ruins Skyview Tower: you need to launch from there when the dragon flies by.
  • East Akkala Plains Chasm: when the dragon appears from there, use a bomb shield jump or Rocket fuse to get to him.
  • Skull Lake’s right eye: Approach Dinraal from the sky island located directly above the location.
  • And the last place is the cliffside, which you can find on the way to Akkala Ancient Tech Lab.

To get Dinraal’s Scale, you need to hit him in the back. You can do this with an arrow or jump on Dinraal’s back and make a melee attack. After that, Dinraal’s Scale will drop and start glowing, after which you can pick it up. Although Dinraal does not count as an enemy, it can still deal with fire damage, so you will need heat resistance food and clothes. Also, do not use wooden weapons and shields.

Often you need to wait for Dinraal to fly to you, but the materials from it are quite useful and easy to get. We hope we have saved you time and you will be able to farm Dinraal’s Scale in Zelda Tears of the Kingdomย without any problems thanks to our guide.

The Zelda Tears of the Kingdomย is available on Nintendo Switch.
