As a dark and terrifying world with many religious references, Blasphemous 2 offers players unique gameplay and an unforgettable story. But despite this, this game is still a platformer and has the many mechanics of this genre, including the immortal Double Jump. Of course, game elements like weapons and strategy are essential in Blasphemous 2, but you’ll never be able to explore the map 100% without Double Jump. In addition, this skill always helped in the battle with the bosses. However, Blasphemous 2 doesn’t give you Double Jump from the start, so we’re here to show you how to unlock it.

To unlock Double Jump in Blasphemous 2, travel to Beneath Her Sacred Grounds south of Mother of Mothers and defeat the boss Afilaor, The Sentinel of the Emery. But let’s talk about everything in order because before you get to this location, you will have to fulfill a few prerequisites:

  • First, forget about Double Jump until you have all three starting weapons. You will need the hidden abilities of all three weapons to advance through the locations, so you must collect them all regardless of what you chose at the beginning.
  • After that, head below the City of the Blessed Name. Next, get to the Streets of Wakes and head southwest until you reach the Mother of Mothers area.
  • If you haven’t reached Streets of Wakes yet, you can get to this location by giving a coin from Sea of Ink to the carriage master in the Choir of Thorns.

Once you’ve reached the Mother of Mothers area, here’s how to get Double Jump in Blasphemous 2:

  • Go further south (or lower) to Beneath Her Sacred Grounds area until you meet the Afilaor boss. It is worth noting that Afilaor is far from being an easy boss, so you should upgrade your favorite weapon several times.
  • Defeat the boss and go to the southwesternmost point of the map.
  • Getting to the right place, you will reach a dark room with a statue with an urn. Interact with the urn, after which you will receive the Passage of Ash ability, also known as Double Jump.

We probably don’t need to talk about all the ways to use this skill. Double Jump is one of the simplest and ultimate abilities for overcoming obstacles, so you quickly integrate this ability into your gameplay.
