The story of the Lightfall DLC continues with the newly released Destiny 2: Season of the Deep. With its arrival comes a new Neomuna quest called “Parting the Veil,” during which Destiny 2 Guardians look for clues regarding The Witness’s whereabouts. At the end of the quest, Guardians are rewarded with a new Hand Cannon called Epochal Integration. However, some players need clarification about how to acquire it properly. So today, it’s time to discuss how to get the Epochal Integration Hand Cannon and what the God Roll for it is in Destiny 2.
How To Complete the Parting the Veil Quest in Destiny 2
As mentioned before, to obtain the Epochal Integration Hand Cannon, players must complete the new Neomuna quest, Parting the Veil, in Destiny 2. This quest begins by speaking with Nimbus after you’ve beaten the Lightfall campaign. He’ll send you to various locations to defeat some Cabal on Neomuna and waves of Vex enemies to gather information about The Witness.
Eventually, you’ll be given a new mission called Operation: Thunderbolt. This mission will have you return to the battleground where you slayed Calus at the end of the campaign.
A squadron of Cabal and a Tormentor Boss will be waiting for you this time. Defeat them, and the Epochal Integration Hand Cannon will be your reward. At the time of writing this post, it currently needs to be determined whether or not this quest will be time-gated or swapped for another when the weekly reset hits. Unless another method appears, this is the only current known method to receive the Epochal Integration.
Epochal Integration Hand Cannon God Roll
As far as rolls go, the Epochal Integration Hand Cannon you receive at the end of the mission is already masterworked with perks. Thus, we must now decide on the right combinations for certain activities. For PvP in Destiny 2, the God Roll you should pick is Keep Away and Eye of the Storm.
Keep Away grants increased Range, Reload Speed, and Accuracy when no combatants are nearby. Eye of the Storm gives increased Accuracy and Handling when your health falls below 50%. While it’s not a perfect combo for PvP, the Epochal Integration’s amazing stats more than make up for it. It’s safe to say this weapon will be a viable option in PvP moving forward in the Season.
For PvE, Stats for All and the Incandescent perks will be the go-to option. Stats for All grants increased Reload Speed, Range, Stability, and Handling after hitting three separate targets. Incandescent will scorch nearby enemies after successfully defeating one. Again, this combo isn’t the best, but it’s a solid pairing that will get the job done in most activities.
