This article is over 2 years old and may contain outdated information.

Espurr is an incredibly funny-looking Pokemon with really wide eyes and an awkward stance. Both its male and female versions have different color variations when they evolve into Meowstic, but you need to have an Espurr at all if you want to do that. It’s not too difficult to get one of these Pokemon for yourself, so we wanted to show you how to get Espurr in Pokemon Go as well as let you know if it can be shiny.

How To Catch Pokemon Go Espurr

You can find an Espurr by fighting and defeating it in a 1-Star Raid Battle. It is only available during the events of which Espurr is a part. You’re also able to get it in a trade if you missed any opportunities to get it in an event.

In order to be able to evolve Espurr into Meowstic, you will need to use 50 Espurr Candy. You’ll need to catch more Espurr to do this, so you’ll want to do all of your grinding around the same time just to ensure that the events that have them don’t pass.

The following are all the movesets that Espurr can learn in Pokemon Go. They each provide their own positive advances in combat, so you’ll want to choose the moveset that best represents the kind of Espurr that you need in raids or trainer battles.

Can Espurr Be Shiny In Pokemon Go?

You can find a shiny Espurr by battling them in Raid Battles. You’ll have a 1-in-55 chance to find a shiny one or a 1.8% chance. It’ll be hard but well worth it once you see the shiny Pokemon in your party. If you’re looking for a specific shiny alteration of Meowstic, then you might have to wait a while until you can get your hands on the Espurr of choice. That makes your chances of getting a shiny one even smaller than the chances we showed just because of the specifics of the one you’d prefer.
