Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, or TotK for short, features various armor sets from Link’s past adventures, including the Fierce Deity Armor. This armor was first seen in Majora’s Mask for the N64 console in April 2000. Of course, series’ veterans and fans would want to collect this armor set and give a menacing look to the Hero of Hyrule. There are two ways that let you get the Fierce Deity Armor set in Zelda: TotK. Learn all about it below.
Get Fierce Deity Armor Through Amiibo in Zelda TotK
The first method of getting the Fierce Deity set in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is by scanning the Majora’s Mask Link amiibo. If you have amiibos of Link from other games, you can unlock the corresponding sets by scanning them. However, the chance of obtaining all pieces for the complete Fierce Deity set is very low. And you can only scan the amiibo once a day.
With that in mind, you would need to gamble on your luck on obtaining the Fierce Deity Mask, Armor, and Boots in only three days. There’s a bigger chance that the amiibo will give you other items, too, such as Glider Fabric and random Swords. Besides, scanning the Majora’s Mask Link amiibo won’t let you acquire the Fierce Deity Sword.
Zelda TotK: Get Fierce Deity Set Through In-game Method
Here’s how you can acquire the Fierce Deity Armor set in a legit way in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. First, head over to Cephla Lake Cave at 2606, 1305, 0150 coordinates, next to the Foothill Stable. There, two treasure hunters are talking about Misko’s treasure. Speak to them and start the “Misko’s Cave of Chests” side quest.
Instead of looting all the chests inside of the cave as they did, go to the dog at the campsite. Feed it enough food by dropping around four Meat in front of it, and the dog will sniff out the correct chest. I’m not sure if the chest is randomized, but it should be the one next to a glowing flower near the wall on the back.
Pull out the chest with the Ultrahand, and you’ll find Ember Trousers. The treasure hunters will say they found a bottle instead and left it be. Now the “Misko’s Treasure: The Fierce Deity” side quest should start.
If you checked the bottle the treasure hunters left behind, Misko wrote something about “three keys.” And it’s said that you must wear the “form” of the Fierce Deity for the Sword.
To you who have found my treasure, these ember trousers are but one piece of my grand collection. I have hidden an assortment of equipment across Hyrule. Notable pieces obtained in strange lands near and far. You’ve done well to find this one, and I will reward you with a hint to another–the Fierce Deity Sword.
Don the form of the Fierce Deity, and return to this place. There are three keys you will need.
One beneath the bedchamber of Akkala’s red-crowned citadel, one in the skull’s left eye, one in an old stump in Hyrule Field.
Good luck. -The Great Bandit Misko
As you might have guessed, the keys refer to Fierce Deity Armor set pieces! Meanwhile, the last piece of the puzzle is the Sword. Now let’s follow the hint that the Great Bandit left for us.
Fierce Deity Armor Location
First up, Misko wrote something about something beneath “Akkala’s red-crowned citadel.” Head to the 3284, 1493, 0414 coordinates at Akkala Citadel Ruins Summit Cave. Look for a small hole in the wall that can be entered by crouching. Go inside, then jump into a hole in the floor. You should find a shrine with a chest containing the Fierce Deity Armor.
Fierce Deity Mask Location
Now for the Fierce Deity Mask, the “skull left eye” means somewhere in the Skull Lake Cave at Deep Akkala. Look at your map and see the skull-shaped island’s left eye socket. Yep, that means you’ll have to climb the tall pillar and drop down into a hole on top of it. You might want to create a flying machine and then glide down for faster access.
Use Hammer or Bombs to destroy the stone obstacles. Once you’ve met the Stalnox boss, that means you’ve reached the right spot. Either fight it off or climb to the center of the room to reach the chest.
Fierce Deity Boots Location
The Fierce Deity Boots is the easiest piece to get in Zelda: TotK. As mentioned in Misko’s message, the old stump refers to the Ancient Tree Stump Cave. Jump down the hollow tree stump, and you should be able to obtain the Boots.
Each Fierce Deity Armor piece has 3 base Defenses. Similar to the Barbarian Set, Link will gain an Attack boost with each piece worn. The Armor can be upgraded using Dragon and Hinox parts.
Fierce Deity Sword Location
Once you have obtained all the Fierce Deity Armor pieces, wear them and go back to Cephla Lake Cave. Walk inside, and a secret door will be opened, revealing a shrine containing the Fierce Deity Sword.
The Fierce Deity Sword is a Two-Handed weapon and has 38 Attack Power. In case you’re afraid it will break, don’t worry. Well, you don’t have to worry too much anyway; it can break, but you can trade for another one with Poes at the statue in Lookout Landing. The Fierce Deity Sword can also be Fused with other weapons. Regrettably, though, the blade part will be gone, and only the handle will remain.
The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is available on Nintendo Switch.
