Want to know how to get Fish in Sons of the Forest? Sons of the Forest is a survival-horror game developed by Endnight Games.
It is a sequel to the popular survivor Forest from 2014. You will try to survive on a desert island inhabited by mutant creatures and cannibals. One of your early tasks in the game will be to find food.
You will need different sources of food, and one of them is fish. While everybody knows where to find fish, getting the fish is not easy in Sons of the Forest. This guide will show you where to get fish in Sons of the Forest.
How to Catch Fish in Sons of the Forest
To get fish in Sons of the Forest, you need to look for it in rivers, lakes, and oceans. However, to catch it, you will need some kind of weapon. Your best option is to make a fish trap and get the fish by placing the fish trap in the river.
Nevertheless, at the start of your campaign, you will need to use an axe or a wooden spear.
Go near the river, and if you see fish in it, then simply use your axe to kill the fish. Once it is dead, you can collect it and press the E key to put it into your inventory. If you want to eat fish immediately, then hold E. However, your hunger bar will move slightly. It is always better to cook food.
As you progress through the game, you will get access to deeper waters, and for this, you will need better tools to get fish in Sons of the Forest.
As we said, it is best to build a Fish Trap. To do this, you will need 25 sticks gathered in the forest. Then open the inventory and click on the Guide Book—Press X to open the craftable/buildable objects and then choose the Traps tab. Under the tab, you will find Fish Trap.
Once you build it, press E several times in a row, and your character will place branches and create the trap at a location you select.
There is another way to get fish in Sons of the Forest. You can use your buddy robot, Kelvin. You can select ‘Get Fish’ through a small notepad with options. After you select ‘Get Fish,’ click follow me. Once you reach any body of water, Kelvin will get fish for you.
